For my drywalling project, I've been having some difficulty getting good clean corners. I was looking around for corner trowels but couldn't find one in stock anywhere, and delivery was a couple weeks out.

Not wanting to wait that long, I hit my shop and built a nice little tool out of some scrap lumber. Worked perfectly!

I got tired of taking a chance tearing up the lock nuts on the Dillon dies- so I spent a goodly portion of yesterday afternoon crafting two die wrenches from a worn out lawn mower blade.
Next time, I'm just hacking on a Harbor Freight wrench I already have...lol.

The reason proper drywall tools are so hard to find, it is God's wish that we don't do our own drywall projects.

Let’s see them! After looking at my new 650 and seeing how tight that toolhead was, I bought the DAA die wrench. Should be here tomorrow. Figured $15 was pretty fair.

Lol!
There's a reason I didn't already post pictures of them- dey FUGLY!
Seriously, they're ugly. But it serves the purpose. And it was a learning experience (buy more cutoff wheels before starting to play with metal...).
If times were different, I probably would have just ordered a couple.

I needed a scroll saw, What I had was a jigsaw and a work table.....

This was actually featured on whitetrashrepairs.com and a couple other sites years ago.

One of my more ingenious and boneheaded ideas.....
