Hey y'all, be on the lookout Raeford Farms is selling cases of chicken breast and thighs...40lbs worth at 45and 30. Breasts are 45 and thighs 30. Great deal. They sell out of a truck a d have locations moving all around. I know theyre in eastern carolina, but not sure where else.
Check their website or facebook page for more info.

Looks like its in SC, Georgia, and NC. It's great chicken. Get there early and cash only.

I heard Case farms did the same in Morganton recently. Probably stuff from the restaurant side that they can't sell to stores. I was getting ready to place an order for stuff like that but the source dried up because the orders had slowed down so much.

Craziest thing is how far separated the restaurant supply chain and the grocery store supply chain are apart. Never the two shall meet. Big Gov being helpful. SMH

Thanks for the heads up... Definitely be there next week when they are in the area.

They are in Wilmington today.
And they were in Fayetteville too- my daughter and her BF picked up a case for us, her BF's sister, her MIL and one for themselves.
Literally just got finished "processing" half of it, put the other half in the fridge to finish later.
20lbs yielded 16 extra large breasts. Wow!
ETA, kids found out about it on the Nextdoor app...

Dang. Thanks for the heads up. That's a great deal, a bit too far for me though.

We buy breasts in 40lb boxes and trim them up, filet them(they’re big enough to make 2 servings per breast) and food save them. Food saver makes life a lot easier if you’re gonna buy in bulk this way

Mountaire sold 10lb bags of breasts for $10 yesterday. We bought 20lbs and split them an vac sealed them that way this morning.

I've been following them on facebook and a buddy just met the truck in Kinston today. The word is out across NC, SC, GA about the chicken. If you go get there early or plan to wait. I heard one place sold 2 tractor trailers of chicken in a couple hours today. Half mile long lines. Just a FYI.

Went to the Farmer's Market in Raleigh yesterday and I guess I got lucky, couple cars ahead of me. Wasn't there 3 minutes.

I just went and got us a 40# box in Mocksville, best deal on the planet right now! Can't beat a buck a pound for chicken breast!

I don't know how the word got out but where they were this morning, out in the county between Creedmore and Franklinton, we sat on the highway for a while before ever getting into the parking lot. A total of one hour from the time we got there till we got the chicken. A box of thighs had about 40 in it. That is crazy big. I figure they had to process the birds before they go so big nobody would want them. My son said, "those chickens must have been 4 feet tall."

Lol, same thing my wife said...

We put a single breast (half) in each freezer bag and from the first 20 lbs, we put up 16 bags.
We gave 10 lbs/1 bag to our youngest son and his lady, still have 1 in the fridge to process.
We gon' be eatin' yardbird for a while!

Siler City Processer.

"Mountaire is working to find ways to do additional truckload sales in the coming days based on the lessons learned from the weekend, Reif said. The company will host truckload sales from 9 a.m. until noon on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Saint Julia Catholic Church, located at 210 Harold Hart Rd., off U.S. Hwy.64, in Siler City. The Chatham County Sheriff’s Office will manage the traffic along U.S. Hwy. 64 while the Siler City Police Department will handle traffic on the Church property, according to Reif."

When did they start and what time did you arrive? I'm going tomorrow to our location and figured I'll show up a half hour before they begin.

Same here. I got there at 8:30 for the 9:00 sale. There was a sign lying on the ground, obviously where they had the parking lot closed, stating that the parking lot would open at 8:00. The place I was at was at a local church, way out in the country, but I'll bet vehicle were lined up on the shoulders for quite some way before 8:00. I have to say, the folks handling things were doing the best they could. You came off the highway in a single line, then went into a double line. After a turn toward a larger area you were fed into 3 lines and eventually 6 lines which then went to 2 lines, one on either side of the truck. Pull up, tell the ladies what you want, pay them and pull ahead. They passed the word along to another person who yelled to the truck what you wanted. Someone brought it over and put it into your vehicle. Only saw one person pitching a fit about sitting in the line. Had a brief conversation with one of the workers and the general concensus was, just be happy you are getting cheap food.

Whats the deal on how much you can get? What I mean is there a limit per person or per vehicle?

Asking because my daughter wants some too and I need to know if we can ride in the same vehicle or not.

I picked up 3 boxes of breast, 1 for me and 1 each for my 2 daughters, counted out $135 and was thanked. Have not been told thank you from a grocery store clerk in years. It actually felt good to be thanked for spending my money with them.

I've not heard of one yet from Raeford Farms. Buddy picked up 3 boxes of thighs and videos I've seen online seem to show people getting 2-3 boxes commonly. That said some spots are running out faster now so I would not be sup prized to see one implemented to prevent bad publicity.

Thanks.

We picked up 80lbs of breast yesterday in Wilmington. They are huge.

Hope ya used $2 bills hahaha. yea that seems to be common with the breasts, they're big. My cousin has picked up 2 boxes and already cooked from the breast and said "tastes like chicken" "good stuff". Buddy picked up one for me, thighs but have not seen it yet... it'll be the weekend.
