Oh man, that blows.

My parents pick up brisket from them a few times a year when they're in High Point. I've always have enjoyed it.

If it was very close to the Harley store on Hwy 68 then it was probably Country BBQ across the Hwy.

Carter Brothers is about 3 miles down 68 from the Harley shop near Wendover Ave.
 
Now that stinks. I used to stop in for a bbq sandwich when in the area.
 
Man I didn’t realize this. I live about 2 miles away and enjoy the beef tips special. I guess no more. They closed the original location in High Point last fall too. :(

They've been shutting all of the Carter Bros down slowly for awhile now. @Qball come down to Rick's in Welcome on Thursday and get some ribs. If it's lunch and I can get away I'll meet you over there.

Yeah that’s my thoughts too. After the one died several years ago it went downhill

I’ve been threatening to try Rick’s since I first learned of it here. I’m up for some Thursday tailgating, assuming I can clear my packed agenda. :rolleyes:
 
Chuck's Steak House here is not reopening. We've been going there since 1979. Awful....If you didn't get there by 4 PM, you had a L O N G wait!
