Most below 35 yrs old won’t have a clue, lol

Can't remember the last time I saw a can. But, I remember them well. I remember the displays at the stations. Probably have one or two of those "devices" somewhere in basic steel.

Cardboard cans with tin tops of oil.
As a teenager I worked in a service station changing oil. The cans then were all tin cans or soft aluminum. The card board cans came along in late 60's to early 70's , plastic bottles later in late 70's and early 80's I have some aluminum cans and cardboard /metal top cans still out in the garage .............Yes i'm old

Not as old as dirt just the tree in the dirt!! Right :p:p

used to work at a plant in Caswell, evidently there was an old auto shop somewhere that used the rear of the property as a dumping ground for the old cans. Walking back doing inspections for the property, found an old culvert with I don't know how many old cans of Esso. Empty of course as well as old wiper blades and numerous old bottles.

I hated those things. I changed oil at Sears among other things and we’d have two or three of those spouts lying on the metal oil change table. After a day or two there would be a big puddle of fresh oil in the middle of the table due to the spouts dripping after multiple uses.
