Ruger Wrangler?

I commend them for it as well. Trying to take a wee bit of the Heritage business. It’s apparently a good market. I would wager most gun owners aren’t the types like us here that scour the interwebz for deals. They swing into Gander/Academy/local GS and see what’s up. So when they see a Rough Rider next to a Wrangler there is a good chance they would reach for the more well known name for a few extra bucks. While I am pretty confident that Heritage puts out good shooters, a lot of people may lump them in with other cheap-o companies like Jimenez/Hi-Point/Raven. But they see that ol’Ruger symbol and they feel more confident.

Got my Wrangler last week from KYGUNCO on promo. Got the Heritage too few weeks ago with the dual cylinders dark grips.
Both are good shooters, takes a bit to get used to them, got to make each shot count, you only get six. ;)

All that being said, I find my heritage .22 pretty damn accurate at plinking distances, at least as accurate as I am with irons these days. If only they came with a new nervous system and fresh eyeballs I'd be all set. Until then its "minute of can" for me.

Saw recently that Heritage was the number 1 producer of revolvers in the World.....
We sell a ton of those heritage revolvers at the little shop I work at. for the price, they are fun plinkers. But the Ruger Wrangler is much better finished, and the Single 6, yet agin a much better finish. Just depends what price point you want. We have a bronze one and a silver one in the shop. and a 6" heritage.

I bought another Wrangler yesterday. They were on sale, and then the store had a glitch that caused me to wait an hour and then have to come back. So, they gave me another 10% off. $183 out the door for the silver one.

Haven’t shot either one yet, ironically. I just like ‘em.

I’ve owned a 4 3/4” Heritage for a few years, and it’s got a nice finish, and very accurate. I paid $120 at a gun show, and I’ve been very happy with it. Bought it for snakes and other small varmints around the farm, and it does the job well. Looked at the Wrangler at Academy Sports, but decided to keep the Heritage.
