In the past 36 hours of so Ive become very tired of all of the released statements by everyone and their mother and brother.

Just looking through the news and saw, "Nick Saban releases statement..."
DID SOMEONE ASK HIM?

A mag I subscribe to, and really like their content, posted a 'released statement on the George Floyd ______'
Does a car magazine really need to get involved?

All these folks are releasing statements on what's going down, what do they hope to accomplish?
Is Saban worried rioters will storm his place, but his 'statement' will stop them?
With the small office of GRM be under attack unless they release their statement?

Saw my alma mater did the same, lengthy email about the 'situation'

I get it, the man was killed by a jerk cop and it sucks, I hate it for his friends and family and anyone else that has been assaulted by a police. But I dont see the point in all these random folks releasing statements on the situation

My company also released a "statement" that I promptly deleted. Ridiculous....

It seems it has become the thing to do whenever anything happens.

Just a bunch of self important dweebs trying to virtue signal. Kinda sad.

Well, if they're anybody anywhere near important, if they don't release a statement, they'll be asked their opinion with a mic stick in their face. Could you imagine the headline if someone offered a "no comment" to the inquiry?

My CFO released a statement internally. Makes no sense, he’s from another continent and of rather fair skin.

I believe it’s best for businesses to stay neutral on anything political. Politics are for individuals not companies. <—- I know that’s quickly changing.

Can't find it now, but one of my athlete heroes growing up (in my eyes) crapped in his nest. Dale Murphy old Atlanta braves player had to put his 2cent in. His son was out marching and was hit in the face with a rubber bullet.

Maybe Dale should have taught his son better huh?

Everyone in the media is saying stuff like "Why haven't any of the White(fill in the blank) spoken out about this yet? That is why you keep seeing all the statements. This was a Facebook post by a super liberal Attorney in Taylorsville along those same lines.

It would be nice if I saw some law enforcement officers condemn the brutal murder of George Floyd. Quit circling the wagons. You need to call out the bad apples in your profession. Instead, you only condemn the looting of rioters — or state your concern for your fellow officers. A life is far greater than property. Even my profession calls out its own and disbars them when required on a very regular basis — and it’s certainly for far less than killing someone. Stand up for justice. We expect that out of you.

From a lawyer huh...that’s about the funniest thing I’ve read in quite a while!

No doubt. He's freaking retarded and a big ole hypocrite. He was even accused of touching female clients at one time but not one local attorney called him out.

Anyone with an audience of any sort. Saban the recruiter. Magazines, news feeds, msm, media of any kind...

They all have a lawyer(s) board of directors, advisor or whatever......

They all say "THIS IS MAJOR, YOU MUST........". Wait for it....... APPEASE!!!!!!?

If they don't come out with a appeasing statement. All the background ninnies show what will be lost. Potential/current recruits. Potential viewers/views. Potential investments.....

In EVERY case someone invested in the making of money behind the scenes using this figurehead makes the decision for them. They hired or were hired by that conglomerate to make money. So they pander.....

How many personalities like that have mucho money while publicly calling ith they see it?

Saw the same thing and wondered. Louis Hamilton is said to have released a statement a couple of days ago and today or yesterday called out the rest of the Formula 1 drivers for not doing the same and backing him.. Who cares........... shut up and drive. (also to include: Shut up and play ball..... shut up and get back to work....... Just shut up.)

We all have opinions, just most of us ain't got the platform or groupies.

Pander is the key word. It always rubs me wrong when some group ask what a political party will do for them. That is pandering and/or patronage. A huge problem. IMO the party should lay out its platform and say if you like these things support us. But now everyone needs a bribe. Screw that.

Attention whores.

C'mon, it's not Pandering by Attention Whores. Ya gotta keep up. It's OVSS (Obligatory Virtue Signaling Syndrome) which is normal for SRCs (Socially Responsible Corporations) and WHCs (Woke Hollywood Celebrities).

It should be obvious at this point that exploiting these situations are highly profitable at best, or save millions in branding/PR at the least. How much would it cost to get the same number of 'views' or 'likes' through routine social media grinding under normal circumstances? How much (if even possible) to fund your way ahead of all the 'trending algorithms'. Much easier to just ride the wave. As usual, follow the money.

You know I haven't seen one damn wagon much less a circle of them.

I haven't heard anything but condemnation from anyone in Law Enforcement over this.
