The state fairgrounds finally decided to allow the C&E Gun Show to take place as scheduled June 13-14! There will be some spreading out of vendor tables to “enhance” social distancing, but we are going to have our first major market gun show in three months!

We will be there. Anyone else planning on going?

This will be in the smaller Expo building?

They don’t know which building yet. Historically, this one is in the Expo building, but they fairgrounds may put it in the Graham building to allow for wider aisle spacing.

Bet it will be really crowded!
If they take the C&E show, that has recently been in the Expo building, and put it into the Graham building, then it won't be crowded at all, table wise. But you may be right about the crowd, given recent events.

I've never missed but one show at the fairgrounds in the last 6 or 7 years, but I may miss this one. I normally go to get powder or primers, but I've got enough to last me a good long while now.

Attendance will be interesting ... cabin fever breakout along with riot scare purchasers including many possible 1st time buyers versus people scared of C-19 in large gatherings ...

With the riot scare and such wonder how many first time buyers will be looking to buy? How many will find out how much paperwork, like the good old 4473, it takes to buy a firearm much less need a PPP (and few if any would have a CHP) to buy a handgun?

The worst about a lot of the first-timers is they get there and that’s the first time they become aware of the PPP requirement. :(

everyone better behave themselves.
in the past, there has been undercover
video taken by both the law and the anti's.

UNVERIFIED HEARSAY RUMOR ...

The State Fair Grounds management move this show into the big Big Building ... the event scheduled there was canceled earlier. The Cooper COVID Phase II in effect thru June 26th says ... NO “Gatherings of more than 10 indoors/25 outdoors are prohibited. This includes meeting and event venues, amphitheaters, sporting venues and arenas, groups at beaches and groups at parks.” Cooper supposedly has called Troxler personally and is telling Troxler the various agencies he has a “relationship” with will shutdown the show if Troxler doesn’t. I am not sure exactly what agencies Cooper has a say with but he is supposedly (again this is 3rd party info and not confirmed) trying to shutdown this show based the COVID Phase II order in effect. He tried this last weekend in Alamance Co with the racetrack and got shown up when over 2,000 people attended the race and Cooper and his DHHS stooge Mandy Cohen were pissed.

Wouldn't surprise me, but the shows thus far have fallen under the retailer exemption.

Then lets show out in force and at least make it a royal pain in his ass. I'll go.

Set up today. About 400 tables in the Jim Graham building. Things are spread out a bit more than normal. Saw several gun dealers and some ammo dealers tonight. Couple dealers had some powder and primers. Will try to update in the morning when more dealers arrive, if I can.

Not too crowded at 9:30, lots of elbow room.
No CFF table at this show.

Is blue collar reloading there?
No. The guy with th huge reloading selection is in the back otherwise MinuteMan has a decent select of powders at decent pricing. I got a couple of pounds from him. Otherwise good show with enough distance netween tables that you dont feel like a salmon swimming upstream

Decent crowd today. Have kept us on our toes, but more looking than buying. Modern gun dealers have been very busy.

I went today got some cci 450 primers at decent price. The show is very small. I woild 1/3 the normal vendors.

Had a good time, decent turn out and agreed about 1/3 the vendors. Didn't buy a darn thing but enjoyed the show. We got there about 9:15 or so.

The C&E show is always much smaller (1/2 the size or less) than the Dixie show and is usually in the Expo Building. They put it in the Jim Graham Building to allow more room for social distancing. This show had fewer vendors than the usual C&E crowd, but not by 2/3. Maybe 10-15% fewer.

@cubrock
Did’ja see anything to merit risking Jeppo’s life and limb?

So the gun show is open but the flea market is not.... Then we ate lunch at a restaurant after the show.

I'm done with this crap, none of it makes any logical sense.

Last c and e I went to was in Graham building so maybe it has been a while but compared to that one this was tiny.
