Did Saks fifth avenue just mess up? I’m curious what y’all think, given the pictures that we saw from the civil rights movement in the 60s. Of dogs being turned lose on peaceful protesters. Do you think Saks fifth avenue just created a PR problem for themselves by hiring private security with dogs to deter riders? Given the times we live in, with all the fragile social justice warriors freaking out over the littlest perceived slight, is that going to be a trigger?

I’d be doing the same thing if it was my business, but it just kind of struck me as odd seeing it front page on Drudge that maybe it would become a PR nightmare for them.

Good move.

From a PR perspective, like anything, it can be twisted but they could argue they chose a non-lethal deterrent to protect their stores versus a small army of armed guards.
*None of those guys appear to be armed.

Isn't it a little late? Seems like the looters have already emptied the stores?

I know Drudge usually just posts links, and leaves the interpretation to the reader, but he does post headlines which is sometimes all I read on a certain news item, and that of course can be “spun”. There has been a decided turn in his tone in the past year. There was rumor that he had sold the site, or maybe he just doesn’t like Trump, but it is no longer my go-to site for headlines and links anymore, as of a few months ago.

What did Saks have to lose? They're already a target of hate, vandalism, looting, and arson because greedyfatcatcapitalistpigexploiters.

As a middle class white dude, if I was part of the boogaloo (not just a gaggle of looting $h!t bags), I would expect no less.

I would expect dogs, I would expect national guard, I would expect heavy policy activity... my cause would be a bit “higher” than stealing stuff from someone else, but nevertheless, it would be racist to NOT have guard dogs...

Looks like a great idea!

Most of the leftists big box stores won't even keep the shoplifters in check anymore. Turning a dog on a shoplifters would be a fantastic way to cut way down on that problem.;)

Works for me - I'm not in NYC, and i wouldn't be out looting even if I was living there.
seems like the easy way for people to avoid being bit by the dogs is to not try getting into a store that is clearly closed for business.

Lol right. How the F does this kind of stuff even need to be a conversation.

if preventing arson on your multi million dollar real estate used to operate your multi million dollar business is racist...then I’m on the wrong planet.

I agree with them completely on protecting their property and think the dogs are a nice touch. I am surprised the cops up there did not ask them to leave.

Great for Saks but, what about the small businesses that don't have the means to buy expensive materials and hire K-9 security? They are screwed.

"Wrapped in razor wire"

That’s what shotguns are for! They are non lethal if you don’t do something stupid! Jus sayin...

I think NYC frowns on shotguns on Times Square.

Theliberty daily.com replaced drudge for me about a year ago. Drudge sold out.

That 77 yo retired sheriff in St Louis was armed if I remember correctly.

Being the only one in guard duty was not a good choice.
