BLM Mural on Tryon St

Someone painted a picture of George Floyd in downtown Greensboro on a boarded piece of plywood and somebody painted over it and of course the news media had a field day reporting it.
 
Just heard on the radio that each artist got $500 from the city? for their efforts.
 
I think I just puked in my mouth.

I was having a decent day and didn't want tp open the link. Now to see that it is actually ON Tryon street.... Not on a building, but the actual street.
Although defacing it with black marks from burnouts does seem fitting, I'm thinking brake fluid would make more of an impression....

Just black out the v in Lives and it will be more accurate

Yeah I assumed it was 'on Tyron' as in on a building on Tryon.
Not ON THE STREET SURFACE.

And Just WATCH the outrage if this is defaced.... "they" can deface Silent Sam, REL in Richmond, and numerous other memorials, but someone just 'touch this'.....
and for a real treat what would happen if a MKL was damaged.....
 
I dunno, maybe some non english speaking painters in a clapped out pickup truck with no tail gate will have some open buckets of paint spill on it. They might even be using epoxy based paint.
 
As a man who hates racism, or discrimination of any kind, I feel like there is an important question to be asked here. What would happen if someone painted a "White Lives Matter" mural on the street? For the life of me I cannot understand why its not All Lives Matter. We will never move past racism if we don't stop identifying each other as "black" and "white".

They don’t want to end racism because they’re the biggest racists of all. They want something else. Something far more sinister.
 
I got amused at one news article I saw talking about the damage “stated it looked like someone put black paint on their tires and drive over the painting” thinking to myself about the reporter have you really never seen a burnout or black marks on a road before to think someone stopped in middle of road painted there tires and then drove across the painting.
 
Same reporter that can tell from the sound of gun fire that it is a full semi automatic AR15
