Excellent whiskey. Glad I tried it. Pretty smooth with good flavor. Gonna have to be careful, since I have a couple hours of work left getting ready for the show.

I found a Hibiki! Remember having one 4 years ago or so ,and really liking it! Haven’t seen any ( even no age statement bottles) until I saw this one. Hope it’s as good as I remembered ! The Compass Box is a blend of peated whisky, mostly Carol Ila. This one is supposed to be bigger than Peat Monster. Yay!

I like it. It is not my every day type of Bourbon. More of a "sip with a red meat meal" or ,especially, a heavy dessert. The longer I sip and it opens up the more layers I taste. Mainly, the women in my life like it, so it will definitely keep a place on my shelf.
 
Went to visit my younger son in Lincoln, NE, last week and went to some of their liquor stores out there, including Walmart. They had a lot different selection out there.

My older son bought this 14 y/o single barrel Barrel Bourbon. I'm not a bourbon drinker, have any of you ever tried it? I know it was pricey.

They source their juice but they're one of the best in the biz. I've had that one and its pricey but excellent

Wahoo, they had several different ones from these folks and quite a few other brands under the counter. My son was in there for over an hour talking to one of the workers and looking at different liquors.

He also picked up a bottle of "The Rock's" tequila

It pays to be nice to your DIL. She likes Blue Moon Beer so I ran to my favorite package store and when I was walking to the back, the manager calls me from his office that I got something for you. The other guy asked did I follow the truck to the store.
They would only let me me get one of each. Yesterday I got me a Col Taylor Small Batch. Good 2 days.

Just found a bottle if old forrester 86proof..never had this one. Will be enjoying it at the beach in a few weeks. Onky ever had the 1840 version. Hope its good.

the 100 proof is my fave less than $30 rye. Never seen the 86 proof but that may be coming. There is no more 100 proof OF in the NC ABC warehouse so I'm told. Rumors about a bad batch that they discovered when they started bottling recently.
