Protest planned for all NC I-40 8:46am 24-June?

It looks like a lot of them bugged out, now it's just 3 cars in the two left lanes and the median emergency lane.
 
And SHP is waiting for them too.
 
"I have been privileged my whole life," he said. "I have had multiple interactions with police where I never had to fear for my life. But black people do. I have friends that I was the contact instead of 911 and that shouldn't be necessary."

This was the statement from one person arrested in the article above.

Am I reading this wrong? They said they were the contact, not 911. Pretty sure no one puts 911 for their emergency contact.

I saw it with my own eyes this morning. Fortunately I was headed the opposite direction on i40. Traffic was backed up for miles as of 9:15 when I drove past it.
 
Do these people have jobs? I mean, it's almost 9:00 on a workday. If I got arrested and was all over the news for causing thousands of people to be late for work, I don't think I'd have a job the next day. But with the state of corporate America right now, maybe I'd get Employee Of The Month. Oh, wait, what I'd be protesting wouldn't be good.

Yeah, well if I-40 actually came through Charlotte, I'm sure ours would have done better. :p

Maybe, they should have done I-85. No, wait, that might be classified as suicide, cause they don't slow down on I-85. :eek:
 
WRAL is reporting "hundreds" of cars slowed down, but I don't trust them . Was it actually hundreds or just a few in Raleigh ?

It was more than likely hundreds of cars slowed down because of a few assholes. They will count all the ones that were affected as participants so it meets their agenda. F'em all!

It was 4, maybe 5. They only arrested 3. Everyone else was just stuck.

I heard from a reliable friend who heard from a state trooper buddy that they wrote lots of citations and also required the vehicles to be towed and impounded.

I can’t find anything that corroborates it on-line, but I know the person who told me very well, and I know he gets insider SHP stuff pretty routinely, so I’d be more inclined to trust what he told me than the media buffoons in NC
 
Seriously? To create awareness of your hyperbolic nonsense, you decided to indiscriminately screw over black, white, and brown working people? The same people who are working so their salary can be garnished and redistributed to those that refuse to work? The same people working so your soft ass can sit in a house with climate control, electricity, internet, water, without sewage, waste, and criminals piling up? The same people providing lab, clinical, and medical services to your worthless, stay at home ass? The same people that carry the entire burden of all this burdensome bulls... so people like you can throw hissy fits in traffic?

Eff impounding their cars, these people deserve the business end of a captive bolt gun.

Either you're committed to your cause and willing to pay the price or you're not. A lot of the other stuff allows anonimity, by being lost in a crowd. This one allowed perps to be singled out. This is likely to get categorized as not one of the better moves.

WRAL (tv - my normal station is dark this morning) reporting that some idiot has now set up road blocks in front of the PD station in Durham. So far, they’ve just let him. I’d post a link, but I’m on a device that can’t override their overlay about disabling your ad blocker. Maybe someone else can.
