Mid 40’s male, lots of scar tissue and nerve damage from military service. In decent shape, but definitely need a boost, and T levels are very low, but not low enough for the VA to do anything...

How do I go about getting T therapy and or HGH?
Anyone have a history or experience with this?
What does it cost?
Are patches or injectables better?
Do I need a prescription?
Any help appreciated.

My T levels went from 206 to 596 in 6 months, almost tripled. I lost inches in the waist, and the 30 year old ‘morning wood’ was back. With no other changes in exercise or diet, other than no sugar 4hr before sleep. Here's lab results https://www.gentechnutrition.com/pages/labs-testimonials
Read what else he says to do, your body makes the majority of its testosterone during REM sleep. Sugars stop the process. Eat well and get 8 hrs of sleep. Heavy deadlifts and/or squats help boost HGH and T as well.

Well, I’m 39, been on TRT for a couple of years.

My 1st doctors appointment was “normal” they claim 250-800 free test is normal. My blood draw was at 8am and was 256.

So a buddy of mine on it said to call his doctor and go their.

1:30pm appointment a couple weeks later, I was 215.

So at the best point in the day, I was at 256 in the morning.... yeah.

So I went on TRT, they started me at .5cc 1 time per week, felt better, but not much change, it moved me up in the 300s.

so then I got put on 2cc, that was freaking wild, but felt off from it, and settled into 1.5cc a week, my free test was sitting at 1300ish... which is still high. Lol. So then I settled in at 1cc per week.

Awhile back, hit a vein and had the test hit the blood stream, that sucked... it went strait the lunges. It’s something anyone who injects will happen to.

ok, after that I went to a topical cream, I do 3 clicks for each leg every night, it’s a bit more expensive, but no more needles. I haven’t had a blood draw yet to see what my levels are now with that, but I feel good and my man bits are still like a teenager again.

So part of the TRT, Test Cream, Anastrozal and Clophimine ( I probably spelled both wrong ) I take 3x a week. They keep your natural test production going and keeps you from getting bitch tits, when you take TRT, your body will make estrogen, so you have to stop that.

here’s where I go, it’s not covered by insurance, and it’s 200 each appointment.

I get 2 cream test for 150 delivered, and 90 days of the pills for 50 delivered.

your looking at 1100 to 1200 a year on the cream. Testosterone Cyp is around 20 a month pending dose.

How long once u started taking it did u notice a change

How long once u started taking it did u notice a change
I don’t notice changes easily, I’ll frequently ask my wife, or someone else close.
The morning wood, 2-3 days.
The waist line change, a month later.
I’m started taking it again ~ a month ago. I’m down 18lbs (206 to 188) since New Years. I also haven’t had alcohol in 3 mo so that helps.
My BP is down to 120/70 and I’m off the meds.
There’s 150 per botttle & the directions say 5/day. At this point I’m only taking two. I’ll probably up it in a couple weeks to see if I can tell a difference.

Thanks friend...I’ll give it a run

@Spartan01

Have you looked into boosting T counts naturally? It may be worth a try, then get retested and see what you think. Once on TRT, it will likely be a life long deal.

Go to an actual urologist Their "low" is different than a regular dr. Been on 200mg/ml every 10 days for 4 years now. $35 to $70 on goodrx for 10ml. night and day difference within the first month

So my bottle arrived Sunday from Amazon.

Daily dose is 5 pills taken with food. I took three with dinner the first night.

Yeah don't do that. They contain a not insignificant amount of caffeine. I'm about a pot and a half a day coffee drinker and not normally sensitive to its effects, yet I was up until 2. Just wasn't sleepy.

Moving forward I went with a regimen of 3 with lunch and two with dinner. I'm not an every day breakfast eater so for consistency's sake that's my regimen.

Yesterday I awoke at 6 and spent 15 hours tearing up the floor of my kitchen and removing a leaky dishwasher and prepping the subfloor for new flooring. I was working solid until after 9 last night.

At my age and with the injuries I've accumulated over the years I expected to feel like hell today. I don't...

I definitely feel more energetic already, time will tell with the rest of it.

My bottle arrived yesterday. I'm taking a few days to measure my BP before I start taking this. I want to be able to know if it's having any negative effects since I'll be increasing my caffeine intake. Once I get a little data down on paper I'll start the couch potato test.

I had a feeling it was going to be like that, so I take 3 with my morning coffee and 2 with lunch. I wouldn’t be able to sleep if I did the lunch/dinner rotation. By the way, I think the FAQs on their site said you could take it without food for faster results.

The three I take in the morning make me feel good but not wired. After the two at lunch, heart rate is up and I can definitely feel the jolt. 5 at one time may give me a heart attack.

Make sure you pay attention to your other meds/pills. I was taking 2 multivitamins and a B12 pill with my coffee but stopped because the extra B12 hurt. This also contains Zinc and magnesium, so you want to make sure you are not ingesting too much through the other things you take.

Yeah I have traditionally taken a magnesium supplement and I cut that out due to the inclusion in this formula.

This does have a tremendous amount of B12. Which likely explains the energy (aside from the caffeine). B12 is something many of us are deficient in and is key to mental acuity, memory, etc.

What's the story on pooping? I've taken magnesium for a sore back in the past and it always made me a little eager to unload earlier than my normal schedule. Notice any negative effects?

Not been an issue with this, though I'm accustomed to a magnesium supplement nightly.

I would imagine if I were still taking the other supplement plus this I might be a little preoccupied with the toilet. Lol

I haven’t noticed any difference in my stool (frequency or consistency) yet but I have only been taking it since Sunday

So I just started on this stuff today and as someone who gets zero caffeine other than sweet tea with lunch during the week I can for sure feel that part of it. I’ll give it a couple weeks and report back. To add I don’t currently or have ever taken any supplements so this is all new.

dude!
Isn’t Testosterone supposed to make you horny?
And you already have like 12 kids?

Didn't they instruct you to always pulls the plunger back, after you have it inserted, before pushing it down? That’s how you avoid vein sticks.

If you get blood in the draw pull out and try again. If you get nothing go ahead.

Some folks don't understand how to do drugs...

did that, and it didn’t bring back any blood.

You were probably just barely behind the vein. When you pulled on the plunger the rearward force drew nothing, then when you pushed on the plunger you pushed the needle 1 mm deeper into the vein.
I get infusions and have the reverse happen to me all the time. The nurse gets the needle/catheter into the vein, pulls to find blood (good thing in my case) then proceeds to push the blood and saline back into the catheter and blows out the other side. The infusion pump then proceeds to blow up your arm like a water balloon.

Started the couch potato test.

I have no history of high blood pressure, no diabetes, no breathing problems. I have two moods I'll call bored (neutral) and amused (neutral, but smiling because some progressive nut stepped in poo). I don't get grumpy, depressed, or sad and I also don't get overly excited about much. I do have a single health issue, CIDP (my immune system is hyperactive and eats my nerves). It's being managed with infusions monthly. I don't expect that to influence this.

I'm 5'10" and 216 this morning. My weight hasn't dropped below 214 or gone above 217 for at least 30 days. I've dropped coffee out of my diet for three days now, but I did still drink caffeinated flavored water. Going to stop that now as well, at least initially.

6:45 a.m. Took two of the suggested five pills with breakfast of one egg with jalapeno and cheddar cheese and a cup of OJ.
So far, I notice pretty much nothing. I'm definitely more alert than I have been for the past several days...but remember I stopped coffee several days ago. Might just be a return to caffeine affecting perceived alertness.
I do sense a sight increase in motivation. It's raining and I took the dog out for a walk willingly, and normally that would be more of a chore.
Also, I have a different taste in my mouth. I won't call it bad, just different. Something to monitor.
I'm hungry.

Intend to take three more with lunch.

Couch Potato test update
Forgot to take them with lunch. Lunch was at 11a.m. and consisted of 8oz of tomato soup with veggies and pasta in it and a turkey sandwich (whole grain bread, dukes, 4oz turkey breast, muenster cheese). Washed down with water.
Took the last 3 pills at noon with water. I also nibbled on a home made cookie and a bit of cottage cheese with lemon.
Right now I still have that taste I noted earlier in my mouth, but it's alongside dairy and lemon flavors now.

No drop off in energy or motivation this morning. My office sent me some annoying problems to handle. I didn't find them nearly as annoying as I normally would, I just handled the stuff and moved on. Way early, but maybe there's a glimmer of improvement here or maybe it placebo.

Couch Potato test update, day 2

Yesterday I experienced a touch of constipation that's not normal for me. This morning that alleviated, but post toilet time my weight was up .5 lb. Yesterday's dinner was two air fryer chicken legs, some cottage cheese, and a cookie.

I've started the day with a bad headache, and my ears are ringing louder than normal(I normally have tinnitus 24/7). I've taken 250 mg of acetaminophen, 250 mg asprin, and 65mg caffeine. I've also had a small chocolate bar. It is moderating now, but ears still ringing loud.

Breakfast was 1/2 cup of cottage cheese and some homemade bread from a Keto diet recipe book. Washed two of the capsules down with about 6 oz of OJ and a cup of decaf tea.
The headache has got me hurting a bit so judging mood/energy levels isn't fair. My wife came in my home office to bug me about something and I gave her a look that scared her off from babbling about stupid crap like she normally does. I'll admit to being annoyed due to the headache and work emails in my inbox.

Couch Potato test day 2 lunch update

Headache is now gone, ears still ringing a little louder than normal. I've got that taste in my mouth again, must be related to the pills. Its not bad, just a different taste than what I'm used to.

Ate my lunch of Hungarian crepes stuffed with cottage cheese and lemon/cherry. Took two more pills (one shy of normal dosage, holding back because I'm not sure if these kicked off the headache this morning. If they did, I'm afraid of what a little extra on top will do to me.)

Couch Potato test Day 3 update

I'll skip the normal food log and get to my first result...I've gained weight. I'm eating no more, and no worse than I normally do. I've had no alcohol. This morning I was 219.
Another interesting data point...My muscles normally feel a little more like jelly doughnuts. My legs especially. The CIDP condition has been causing a bit of atrophy from resulting inactivity due to the nerve triggers that work the muscles being chewed up and inoperable. (The protective coating on the nerves is missing in places so those nerves misfire and experience signal loss.) My leg muscles are starting to feel a little more like they should. They're firm at rest and hard when "flexed"(a term that cracks this couch potato up). Too early to be sure of anything, but this weight gain might be the good kind.

Any updates? I have a bottle in my list I may try. I need to do something. I'm the heaviest I've ever been, and at 46 I ain't getting no smaller. Definitely think I could use a boost in the T department.
