Local Lowes employee is taking this mask thing seriously.

That man is a prime candidate for hypertertension, disbetes, obesity and possibly pulmonary issues to boot.

Went to Lowe’s Sunday. Went in through outside lawn and garden. Wasn’t going inside. Went strictly for bags river rocks. Lady standing at gate with box of masks. Says we have to wear one while in their store. I never stopped walking and told her no thank you I have a medical condition that prohibits the wearing of a mask.

Like most folks on this board.

I was in the grocery store yesterday and a woman there was wearing a large mask, sunglasses, winter ear muffs, winter knit gloves, a full track suit zipped up to her throat, socks pulled over her pants and taped with duct tape and rubber boots. Overkill much!?

That’s the same mask I wear for lawn mowing for my allergies. I can’t buy filters do it because of this crap. While everyone is out pretending to be Maverick and Goose with their flight masks, I have a real need for it and am limping mine along trying to keep the filters clean.

Yes, likely. But no different than the guys who put on their plate carriers, helmet (with comms), knee pads etc to go to a COVID/open our state rally looking like GI Joe's younger, hefty brother, Mikey

Dude wants to wear a big mask - cool.
Chooses no mask - cool.

Have seen hundreds to thousands of positive patients in the 2 ERs I work in. Unless we are intubating or in close contact (face to face) we have worn surgical masks from the beginning. In the 2 ERs, NOT A SINGLE STAFF MEMBER has gotten sick, so take it for what it's worth. I wear one anytime I go into a public place for my protection, my family's protection, the general public's protection and that it's the right thing to do in my opinion. Take it for what it's worth.

I dare say there may be a reason why that's a common practice in the medical field for how long now?

My wife informs me that I am more of an indiscriminate area weapon...

So, what you and Icarus are describing are a 20' burst and 15' cone respectively?

And people say D&D or Pathfinder are fantasy games not reflective of reality.

That’s the azzsniffer 2000, deluxe model. The standard model is only a mouth piece which allows for fresh air through thee nose if needed. This one makes it so you cant get away from it. Their slogan is “Taste the Smell.”

Here's my preferred Lowe's outfit. Inspired by a time when real men wore short shorts because they're comfortable:

People are always so impressed they let me skip to the front of the line and always socially distance!

Fun fact, it's impossible to get a cheek weld with a hard mask. I gotta get one of those 4" risers I guess.

I don't judge/second guess people who wear masks. I don't know what their reasons are and they aren't bothering me to wear one.

However, I draw the line where they tell me I've got to wear one and when they go all vegan-crossfit on me. Then it's game on.
