Lee Breech Lock Challenger press wooden lever ball

I've had my breech lock press for about 3 months and the wooden ball at the end of the lever fell off already. Tapped it back on with a small hammer, fell off again. wth? Any suggestions?

I used a little spray glue on the lever and mine hasnt budged

Yeah. Green can. I think I have some of that.

I sent Lee an email. They said use wood glue or epoxy. How about fixing the design flaw and do that at the factory? I know I'm not the only one this has happened to. I know it's budget stuff but comon now. Geez.

My Lee press is 15 years old and the ball has never moved...you sure you got everything setup right? Pulling excessively?

My first press was the same as yours and it happened within months of use. I just used a little epoxy and it never came off again.

Honestly I don't even really touch the ball. I usually just press down the end of the lever. That's plenty of leverage. I'll l just put some glue on it or epoxy. I have both in the garage. No biggie.

Modeling cement fixed mine.

Mine came off first time I used it. Just glue it back on.

Be a bad muthafvker!




Serious though, gorilla snot or something of the like will keep it on there.
