Missouri couple point guns at protesters calling for St. Louis mayor to resign

Them being lawyers is of no great importance to me. NBC mentioned it for some reason. I suppose it may matter since they should be more familiar with the legalities of displaying weapons than other people would be
The thing I found to be interesting was their support for the group upon which they were evidently prepared to fire. I wonder if it opened their eyes a little? Nah, highly unlikely.

You think the NBC reporting was bad, Apple news portrayed the peaceful protesters to be the victims of white privilege with guns.

Yeah, that book mirrors current events (including described attitudes and the city/rural difference) so dang closely it's very hard to read without having a coronary.

Especially as we lack a Bolo

I got requests from three people today for ARs because of this news item/video (and I'm not a dealer known for having a plethora of ARs). Seeing "protesters" this close to someone's home has really rattled a lot of people.

I applaud anyone who takes their safety/security seriously, but folks who have waited until now to do it are already behind the 8-ball. Weapons are not magic...just tools and while the presence of one may deter some, others will be unfazed because it isn’t the first time they’ve looked at the noisy end.

Whether it’s an extra hour at the range, another mile you add to a run/hike or an additional 20 push-ups, it’s not only benefiting you, but also those you are charged with protecting, because it puts you in a better position to provide for their safety/welfare. Yeah...it may cost time, money and may even f*ing hurt, but it won’t be nearly as expensive or painful as failing those you care for, all the while knowing you could have done more.

That’s not to say all that effort is any guarantee of a desired outcome...it ain’t and bad sh*t can happen / does happen to some good folks with good skills, but I still believe that we owe it to ourselves / our loved ones to be our best.

Anyhow...that’s the way I look at it.

Do your damnedest.

a LOT of people, yes.
Some of my family that had seen guns as not terribly necessary have started changing their minds and are on waiting lists to get guns now.
And long before the riots, back when the corona lockdowns were just an idea being kicked around - my mom admitted that she still doesn't like guns FOR HER (she has had a hard life) but is very glad all of her kids have guns and know how to use them... and my dad finally decided to get a pistol and my mom is perfectly okay with that.

Don’t forget these rioters Are super emotionally well balanced and love setting things they Don’t like on fire....hope y’all have fire extinguishers and not just guns. I would hope folks always have them, but especially if you think there is any potential threat in your hood based on what statues, cartoon characters or politicians may live there.

Read that the police found no cause to refer to DA for charges against the couple.
Won't stop librard lawyers from filing false claims with the state bar.

A violent mob breaks down a gate to enter private property. Chances are that dozens among the criminals were armed.

A good book our members should read. He argues that the US will break up along ethnic lines. The book was written about 25 years ago, and he looks at it going both ways as far as a “winner” in the South, but pretty much concludes the conflict will result in ethnic cleansing. He basically says that it will either split off and become a black ethnic state that will likely fail due to a lack of international support and recognition, or though it is an unsavory idea he says that blacks will pretty much be purged and eliminated.
You've brought this book up in a couple threads now. You're gonna make me go back and find my paper copy. Have you read the list at the end yet? I think its like 35 things the author said toook for. I need to go back and see how many items have been done already.

The list begins on page 154 of the PD linked to. I am about 1/3 of the way through the book and already finding it eerie in it's prophetic accuracy. Here are some of the things from that check list that seem to me to be true:
  • ethnic classification on ID cards
  • illegal aliens allowed to vote
  • abolition of the right to bear arms - while not there yet, there is certainly a push for it from the left
  • racially split juries (or jury decisions) ...
  • Washington DC to resemble the capital of a banana republic. Specifically watch for riots that menace the white house.
  • re-segregation with minorities demanding and getting separate facilities
  • replacement of individual rights by group rights based on ethnic group.
  • real political power shifting from the elected officials to the courts.
  • real political power moving from US institutions to international bodies.
  • watch for minorities and radical whites to seize control of institutions. CHAZ / CHOP anyone?
  • Secessionist movements seeking autonomy - again CHAZ / CHOP and a few others.
  • Emergency of No Go territories. MN already had these.
  • so called "slave tax" refund or something similar - in this case the Dims calling for "reparations"
  • Court orders mandating more voting districts which blacks are intentionally a majority.... for example all the gerrymandering cases in NC
  • Mind control hoaxes from the establishment media.
  • increasing percentage of minorities in the military and the use of foreign or UN troops on us soil...which there has been talk of.
  • increasing number of out of court settlements alleging racial discrimination.
  • restrictions on freedom of speech by government and or media.
  • watch for the collapse of the USD as world's premier reserve currency (look at what the Fed has done since March alone)
  • Watch for signs that the global military equation and American dominance are being challenged.
  • watch for political and legal organizations formed along ethnic lines that will parallel and displace official rivals.
  • watch for more help wanted ads stating that applicants must be bilingual.

also won't stop the DA and local govt from perpetuating lies and trying to drag them down any way they can.
Clearly these 2 lawyers are posterchildred for white privilege and we MUST say bad things about them to save face in front of the dems

Meanwhile, McCloskey attorney Albert Watkins told the Associated Press on Monday that his clients support Black Lives Matter, and only grabbed their guns after several white protesters 'violently threatened the couple and their property and that of their neighbors,' according to Fox.

Collapse of the dollar was the one I always thought to be the point that everything begins to spiral down in an unrecoverable direction.
The one thing I remember specifically about that book is his insistence that everyone in a militia quit it immediately because it would be infiltrated by feds. And then in 2005 we learn about operation PatCon in detail.
Yes. The book was prophetic.

wouldn’t that be grounds for malicious prosecution?

Based on what I saw in the video it seems reasonable to state that they were in fact in fear of their life. The protesters were not exactly peaceful after breaking a gate and shouting threats at them.

Another story on AP today, the McCloskey's went to their gins back in the 80s in a property dispute. " someone sneaking around their house at night"

Sounds like a reasonable time to grab your gun, to me. Bump in the night on the compound.

they haven't grabbed their guns in over 30 years.... that doesn't sound like easily rattled to me
Now, people who have had some things go sideways... well, there's always a gun in easy reach and odds are they have already reached for it between the time the yard camera picks up a car pulling in the driveway and the time the doorbell camera picks up somebody walking up the porch...
hypothetically.
