Why Mark and Patricia McCloskey STAND-TALL & Armchair Commandos "Posers" Suck

Monday morning QB is great, you can nit pick all the stuff done wrong.

Training is great, till it's not paper you are facing.

They had a choice to fight or run. They stood their ground.

We all like to think we will do the same, most of us never had to do it.

They get an A+. America was not won buy a well train Army. It was won by folks who did the best they could with what they had.

Borrowed from some other thread around here...

Not every person that owns a gun is a "gun person". They had two guns and made a stand. Training or not, their method worked for them. No one got hurt, no property was damaged. It was a good day in my book.

One take away from this incident wasn't so much the actions of the homeowners but the lack of action on the part of the protesters. When the McCloskeys stood up to them and prestented a threat the protesters backed down. Now there may have been a few in the crowd who knew how to handle a firearm but as a whole the protesters folded when thier bluff was called. This is almost like the situation where the protseter/looter was disarmed of an AR. These fools know the police are restrained and held back from reacting so the act brave. When faced with the possibility of actually getting hurt they run for their safe room, blanky and coloring books. As far as those that may actually engage in an armed conflict I think it's safe to say spray and pray would be thier plan which gives most of us the advantage in any conflict they may want to start.

Don't take this couples reaction as justifcation for your lack of activity.

Any training, any match any shooting sport will make everyone better. Poking fun at IDPA or $1000 AR's is the same as the dress up commando's making fun of this couple.
Nobody’s poking fun at shooting sports. I don’t even know what those letters stand for. My point is clear. Any gun owner who protects his life and property is a good thing.

Who really gives a ....?
They did what nobody else in this country has, they stood up, with no training, with less then perfect equipment and they accomplished their mission.
God bless ‘em.
Everybody else is kissing shoes and taking a knee.
Training is good and necessary but resolve is where its at.
Amen

I've always heard there are no rules in a street fight. Certainly must apply in a riot or whenever confronted by an overwhelming force. You do what you must to survive. I think they showed amazing restraint. Hope i never find myself in those waters.20200702_200150.jpg

And an aspect of this "new world" we are dealing with is that usually we see "gun guys" getting involved. At this stage in the game we are going to be seeing a lot more poeple who are not "gun people" forced into the game. This is in part by the tactics the "protestors" are using. We will be seeing much ore of this, and it will also increase the amount of folks out there looking for training.
