It’s the “generic” version of Beowulf.

Alexander Arms builds Beowulf uppers, and everybody else builds 12.7x42...or maybe some others are allowed to use the term.

My 16.5” is Beowulf, my 10.5 is 12.7x42...and both are coming tomorrow, and use the same ammo.

and you need to know that because you get to take the first shot with the SBR...unless @karalynnlippy volunteers first :D

@BU2scwMJL - you get by PHA?

@HMP - anybody you can ask about possibility of 100yd being open in the morning? I replied to the range report first thing this morning but haven’t gotten an answer...or an auto reply to say that account isn’t monitored.

So, there are gonna be 4 of us “freeloaders” arriving in one car at 8. In addition, I guess @Group23 will be getting there about that time. It seems @BigWaylon, @BU2scwMJL and @karalynnlippy will be there at 8ish get us in.

I’m wondering whether there are any other “guests” planning to arrive at 8 or any other time. If so, we outta try to coordinate contact between them and other members. Hanging around the gate, in the heat, might not be so much fun. ;)

Absolutely. I mentioned that sometime before but we never took it any further.

The four of you can pair up with @BU2scwMJL & @karalynnlippy

I’ll take whatever other two are there. Is that @Group23 ? Anybody else?

@bashman can get in with @9outof10mms whenever they arrive, and one more could tailgate through with them...

I’m not sure what time @HMP is coming? But that’s two more slots... he’s coming at 8a

@Zbizzle911 will be in the 8:30-9 window and can bring two more later-comers with him...

anybody else that’s unaccounted for at this point speak up and we’ll see if we can coordinate ahead of time...

BTW, if anybody is interested in doing the captured takedown pin spring mod, I just put a tap and screws in my bag. I only have ~250 screws left, so don’t bring all your ARs. Just takes a couple minutes and requires loosening the castle nut and removing the buffer tube in order to cut threads. If yours happens to already be threaded, you can just loosen the castle nut enough to spin the rear plate out of the way.

I would assume you could stake it if you wanted. I’ve never done it. You’d have to undo that one first. If you want to bring a hammer and punch, go for it. :D

Bring the stuff to stake it, or just do it later. I’ve never had an issue with a castle nut coming loose. Or wanted one I couldn’t easily remove if I felt like it.

Apparently I couldn’t count last night. I typed I had laid out 8 guns and then proceeded actually list 9 guns. I’ve since changed things up a bit. Leaving the 220 and BLK AR at home in exchange for a Ruger MKII pistol. I’ve been wanting to try the rimfire range ever since I first saw it when I used to shoot the 2 gun match.

I went to S&S for lunch today and they’re closed for the 4th, just a heads up you can take it off your list. @Jeppo pick a day and we’ll all do lunch there.

They’re closed on the 3rd for the 4th? Is that what you’re saying? (Or they were also closed today for a long weekend?)
