My oldest friend moved away about 14 years ago. He met the love of his life and moved to Illinois. She had children and it was easier than uprooting them. He called me today and said he went to take a shower and came out of the bathroom and called out to her. She didn’t respond. He found her at the base of the stairs and she wasn’t breathing. He called 911 and performed chest compressions until paramedics arrived. She passed this evening and he is still in shock.
If I may asked that you guys keep him and her family in your thoughts. It is going to be a rough time for him. He had been contemplating coming down to stay for a while as his mother is battling cancer and he has been driving back and forth every few weeks.
