Anyone else tired of No Knock Warrants?

I would 'think' they are different.

Hospital or Dr's office: Private companies under public regulations
Cop out in public: Yeah... That's it.

What about a public hospital? What about the VA? Does the VA allow it, IDK? I believe that the just don't want you to have any proof of any mistakes that they might make.

Not sure myself but it seems that for fully public facilities they may have rules of no filming. Anyone can make rules, it depends upon the court to determine if the rules are valid.

A decision needs to be made if it's worth the battle.

So the LMPD has also had five officers involved shootings in 2 months. Why? Seems they should be disbanded! These no knock, no cam warrants aren't for officer protection except to cover bad apples committing crimes. They put the public MORE at risk.

CD

But that's the point. Haven't the courts determined that the rules for No Knock warrants are valid, even though they shouldn't be?

The police do not hold each accountable. In just about all the videos of an LEO doing something wrong, there was a second LEO just standing by letting LEO do citizens wrong.
Which is why I struggle with the idea that we shouldn't let the one bad apple spoil the bunch. If 3 guys stand buy and watch their buddy rape someone while.saying nothing they're going to be just as guilty right? Same should apply to those trusted to uphold the law.

I was raised to respect them but never trust them as they are not your friends. Especially when in 2020 you get to see them doing the stuff on camera that people have been saying they do all along yet they still lie to cover themselves. Check out this video where at the end the shooters tells everyone to turn off their cameras.

That's a pretty bad one...

I thought the topic was filming Cops? IMO 'no cam raids' should not be allowed. All raids, in public, on the public's time, should be recorded for public record.

It's more about patient privacy rights than mistakes. In the ED we'd allow patients and their people to take video or pics in their room of suturing, etc., but no video or pics that may have other patients. Also, no staff in pics/video, either, unless they give permission. We had a neuroradiologist who would let spouses lead up and be in the CT scan room with her while she was doing procedures and let them film.

I was raised this way as well. By a cop!

I just heard some info on this that it was the local SWAT team breaching for the DEA with a federal warrant. Seems that Ms. EMT was running drugs with her gangbanger boyfriend. And they were not at the wrong house. It will be interesting to see what comes of this.

This one is interesting as well.

here is one saying Taylor was on the warrant but then saying the drugs were found elsewhere.

The reporting seems unreliable at best. Were they are the location on the warrant or not? Regardless, I don't think that changes the fact that it is safer for all involved to arrest someone outside their home instead of a home invasion ambush in the middle of the night.

A little birdie whispered it in my ear. The only info that is being reported from the news media is from the family attorney, Mr Crump. Who knows?

So the boyfriend filed a civil suit against one of the officers before the raid? If that's the case then this is extremely bad

Not commenting on this case in particular but a search warrant is for searching the home, not arresting someone. Hard to do that from the Wal mart parking lot.

And arrests in public go bad all the time and people like you say "Well they should have got them at home".

And... in the end it will be another failed shopping complex designed to take good thinking entrepreneurs money. That and the SBA (tax payers) money.
