Been eyeing one of these for a while. What's the general consensus on them? Wanting the threaded model and plan to either run it as a home defense gun or alternate conceal carry with my m&p compact 2.0 since it looks to be very comparable in size. I handled one today at the gun store and it felt very nice in my hand. Trigger was heavy but smooth.
They wanted $507 for it and a quick Google search showed them selling for $400-$489 all out of stock though.

Should I?

Edit: I should also add that I don't own a CZ (handgun) but would like to. I have also been eyeing a threaded sp01.

Someone with more knowledge will be along but I think the cz p10c is better comparable to a G-19 then an SP-01. SP-01 is not a plastic gun and much heavier. I carry a G-19 but the SP-01 is a much better gun in my opinion.

Yeah that's why I was comparing to my m&p compact. I understand the P10c and sp01 would not fill the same role. Sp01 would be a range toy/home defense whereas the p10c would go into the concealedcconcealed rotation and double as home defense from time to time.

nah you should buy two, it's just that good.

Better compared to g19 than m&p compact.

Get one.

Mags are compatible with p07, so you now have an excuse for another cz.

I put an hbi trigger in mine. Made a nice difference and pretty easy does it on install, and relatively cheap.

I dont have a pic to compare it to the m&p compact, but would defnitely go cz route..honestly, I am not a fan of my wifes mp compact..at all..

I have a p01, p07, and p10c. Love them CZ's.

I love my m&p's and how they feel in my hand. The hinged trigger on the 2.0 is horrible but the trigger pull itself isn't that bad. I shot 2/3 gun with my ported performance center core for a while and was a great shot with it but I have an apex flatty in there.

I've shot my friends P10C. It's a nice gun. The trigger smooths out after a good cleaning. The only thing I don't like about it is the grip will eat your hand under recoil. It's like holding onto a rasp file. Some talon grips should fix that problem up nicely though.

It did seem like the grip had some bite. The m&p 2.0 is also pretty aggressive and well as my personal stipple job I did on my 5" m&p so I don't think I'd mind.

Having a friend like yours that would let me send a few rounds downrange would definitely make deciding easier.

With the exception of the mag release, and the slide stop, it is superior to the Glock.

I've got the P-07 which is the DA/SA version, and my boss has the P-10C. BIG WIN on both. The P-10C is basically a CZ Glock 19, with better grips, better trigger, and a flatter shooter out of the box (IMHO). Out of the box it's great, but when you add CGW upgrades, the thing gets even better.

I have an OR P-10F. As kinda a metal CZ snob, it has surprised me. I love it and it's only gun I have been shooting. Very nice gun. I, too, did some trigger work. HBI trigger, CGW striker and some springs.
The grip texture is indeed very aggressive. I prefer that. A really firm grip is required or it will chew you up quickly.
Considering trading my G19 for a OR P10C.

I have two now, a C and an S. The grip texture sticks to your hand which I really like. I don't have anything bad to say about them aside from get a later model that's produced in the US. The mag release is not ambidextrous but works a lot better than the early model. My brother is running one now in IDPA with an optic and appears to really like it. I know he's several thousand rounds in.

I guess I'll be the dissenter.
Of all the CZs Ive ever owned or shot, the P10 was the most underwhelming to me. But, it's also very different from the rest of my CZs, too. For what it's worth, I never liked the P07 or P09s, either.
In keeping with an apples/apples comparison, I preferred both the grip and the trigger on both the PPQ and VP9 over the P10. It operated just fine, was accurate, but I just never took the plunge and bought one.

So being completely honest here... noticed something weird this thing is doing but it's perfectly repeatable. Load a 17 round mag, chamber a round, pop the mag out to fill back up to 17, then press check after re-inserting the mag, then pop the mag back out and you get a loose bullet that falls out. If you load a 17 round mag up and drop the slide to chamber one then press check with only 16 rounds in the mag it doesn't do it. Load it back up to 17 and it tries to strip the next round off the top if you press check.

Is the mag catch stripping the round off?

My P-07 did the same thing until I got ehhh maybe a thousand rounds through it. I think the tolerances are a little tight so it needed to break in? I was never able to find an answer and it doesn't do it anymore and I see no abnormal wear, so I never dug any deeper.

Late to the party but I love mine. Added an SB trigger and an extended mag release for ease of use haha.

@Axehandle I've been considering the talon grips, but do they stick the the rough backstrap pretty well?

I put a small piece of skateboard tape on the slick part of my grip on one side only. Worked like a charm. Aside from that one slick spot I think the P10 has one the best textures out there.

For me it's more about covering the rear grip texture. Just tears up my hand after a 100 rounds lol. Maybe I'm just soft. Guess I could try sanding it a bit. Still got the p10c I sold you?

I sold it to a co-worker. He loves it. I kind of regretted selling it to him but I was tying to help him out. But I tell you what, I forgot all about it when I got this P10S. Holy crap is this a sweet pistol!

Dude, I held one the other week at the LGS and really liked it! Decided next day I wanted it so I went back and it was gone. It's the next pistol on my list for sure!

You won’t be disappointed.

Re: the grips being uncomfortable because of the aggressive texture.

that grip bite is easily fixed by hitting the grips lightly with some sandpaper. Just enough to dull the sharp points of the texturing.

I have a highly-tuned M&P Pro which is one of my favorite guns. I also have a P10C which is close behind. (The "highly-tuned" part was done by a big name shop called Speed Specialites BEFORE if traded into it. Somebody spent $300-$400 upgrading the guns, and got it in trade for a slightly upgraded Glock 34. The prior owner was a Glock lover who wanted to try the M&P, and once he did he wanted a Glock again.) His loss, my Gain.

My P10c had one short-coming -- some painful trigger bite -- and I switched to an HBI trigger system (somebody else here mentioned doing that); its a good trigger and I still get a tiny bit of bite, but not much -- it may eventually go away.

I still haven't figured out the cause of the trigger bite (and I've done a lot of looking and asking.) With the hammer-fired models, trigger bite has something to do with the firing pin block not always clearing before the hammer drops (but clearing enough to allow the hammer to function properly.)

I also have a tricked out m&p 5" and shoot very well with it. I have high hopes for this cz but we'll see. I know what you mean on the triggers. When I shoot Glocks the corner of my trigger finger gets tore up cause I only pull the trigger with the tip of my finger instead of centered in the pad. I'm going to run the stock trigger for a while and see how it goes. Feels pretty nice for a factory trigger but I have seen a lot of people move to the hbi.

Trigger bite was one thing I was concerned about when I got the P10S. Turns out that it’s not an issue for me.

The HB industries trigger is great, you really can't beat it for 65 bucks.

Like a second skin, have not had any lifting. I added it because I carry it IWB sometimes without a undershirt and it was abusive to the "love handles" uhh... spare tire.:(:(

Only thing I would change on the stock trigger is reduce take up and lighten it up. How does the hbi do with that?

I'd say it's a little lighter and the take up shortened a little but I am by no means an expert. The trigger comes with a lighter striker spring that I installed as well. If anything it just has a much better feel on my finger.
