Got two new tires for our '17 Edge. Put the new tires on the rear and older set (almost new when we got the suv from Hertz) on the front.
Changed the oil too. While not in the garage, wife says our gas dryer not working, played with the start switch and it almost ran. Cleaned the contact on it, no go.
Meter shows switch and relay coil are good. OK, got to be the door switch, press the lever by hand and no switch activity. Took it apart and the internal contact arm had broken from the two attach points. Jumpered the wires and dryer working, ordered new switch on ebay from a VA seller. $13 on the way.

I added an OEM Honda hitch kit to my wife's '19 Recon. It came with the hitch, an oil temp sensor, a control box, and an indicator light. I had to strip the entire front end off, lol. I spent about an hour on it last night and another hour on it today...including the oil change.

I'll change the oil in my son's Recon later today. I'm shooting for under 30 minutes!

So to install a hitch, the front end comes off?

.

Finished up the decking on the soffit cabinets I've cobbled together. Still have to build sliding doors for the front and box in the open end. Anyone that has 10'+ ceilings are missing out on some great storage area leaving the upper wall bare. We built a 30' long section 28" deep and tied in a 12' long 36" deep section along the back wall ("L" shaped). LOTS of storage.

Hopefully I'll get the mess cleaned up and organized soon so I can share some pics. Place still looks like a bomb went off inside

Cleaned out the garage today. Going to paint it next weekend. Would love to find someone to do the epoxy on the floor. 36C9862E-8FF5-43F9-985E-8605CEB842F7.jpeg

Mowed
grass was getting too high in spots, and generally high enough to be annoying. I mowed the places in the yard we regularly walk, and i'm saving the rest for another day.
then i heard some shots from across the street - turns out my new neighbor had NOT mowed the lawn yet, and he found a rattler or two. His mom (also my neighbor from down the street) called me to let me know nothing was up, just snake disposal. I said "yeah, i saw him looking around his porch with a flashlight after the shots, i figured it was some kind of critter where it didn't belong".
She sent my wife a picture of a snake, and my wife insisted that I not let the grass grow too high...

Man mine hasnt looked like that since just after I bought the house. Im a bit envious

I moved the last of the boxes from the pics out of the garbage and put the step stool up. Heck, I even used degreaser on the floor & mopped it. Then I backed the cars in to a freshly cleaned garage. Man it felt good.

I’m cleaning our lower garage area too. The bay where the T-bird parks had a long wall length bench that was built on it decades ago. I pulled all of it out this weekend. There were tons of bug carcasses built up underneath it. Lol. I got it all cleaned up and am reorganizing some of my power tools. We’ll have lots more room in there when the T-bird nests again.

I hear ya! If you can’t tell from my clean out threads I’ve been cleaning the workshop of stuff I don’t use thus making room in the garage. Only thing I need for the workshop is a new rolling toolbox which I’m picking up today. Heck, I even got my vice mounted on my workshop bench. It was a very productive Sunday.

Had to get a tube for the dirtbike
Battery for the dirtbike came in mail
Put all that on, then washed the bike up properly
One of our members is, it seems, going come pick it up Wednesday or Thursday.

And, yes, I know the seat and side panels arent on in this pic, the battery was still charging so I cleaned it up and took the pics to send him.

What do you think about US General? I keep eyeing their service carts with their very tempting prices.
Friend of mine did a ton of research. There was some ban on Chinese toolboxes stemming from patent infringement so the Chinese toolbox makers actually undercut the market. They have a higher grade steel and better features for less money. You can’t go wrong with them.

I’m sure I got the details wrong but it’s directionally correct

One last ride around the yard on the Kaw.

Just out of curiosity what jack do you use on said heavy duty truck??

Or does anyone have a recommendation for a good brand heavy duty higher lift?

Bought the 4T from harbor freight, and so far it been a beast

I was looking to score a used heavy duty long frame trolley jack, but new they just cost too much.

You could also go the bottle jack route, lot of lift capacity in a small package.

Northern Tool is running some specials this month along with a coupon if you get the mailer, I picked up a new 20 ton bottle jack for $170.

Just ordered some centramatic balancers for the rig. Serms no matter how often these things are balanced and rotated they get chopped up, so hopefully these help, especially since im going to 20's

made a lot of space by selling a motorcycle

Added two more wheels to my garage thanks to HMP

I’ll do a deeper garage post soon, I effectively live in my garage when the other creatures in my house are sleeping
