What are you drinking?

Ha! I went to the liquor store looking for Chopin Vodka. They didn’t have it but suggested the Luksuowa. Never heard of it but it’s potato vodka so I bought it.
Drinking Russel’s Reserve tonight so almost turkey..... Cheers!!!

A little Basil Hayden in my new glassware or whatever it is called. Drinking it over ice makes it more refreshing in the 98+ degree heat. Those numbers is the lat/long of the lake.

If you like Basil Hayden's, and haven't tried this, I'd highly recommend doing so. "Old Grand-Dad" is Basil Hayden. It's his pic on the bottle. It's the best bargain in bourbon, in my opinion.

Bbd280 I have not had that Old Granddad but do have this one. It has a GA tax stamp from the mid-70s. I have had about half of the bottle and do not want to drink the rest because that it. I will have to try the 100 proof. Thanks.

When Basil Hayden first came out (or when I first had it) a couple years ago you knew what you were getting. Now no 2 bottles are the same. That bottle is a couple years old. There are way too many others to pick from at that price or below.

Could not go to sleep so I am working the 3rd drink from the Infinity Bottle over ICE.

Hard to go wrong there, brother.

Troof.

I used to drink exclusively (& lots of it) craft/microbrewery beers, but have been kinda off beer for a while. Damned if an ice cold tallboy of Hamm's don't just hit the spot on a hot summer's day, though.

I really like beer. The gut I get from it is the side effect I don't want. I'm trying to quit the beer and go back to the Scotch.

Come to think of it Scotch sounds pretty good right now. BRB

On tonight’s menu

Kids just left and sitting outside listening to a little Buffet, smoking a Romeo Y Julieta and a Margarita.1595193018538516237011245025127.jpg

Well, we're eating Jamaican tonight so I tried to find a authentic rum cocktail recipe. Ugh, they are all way too sweet for me (Rum Punch=alot of fruit juice and grenadine. ICK!). So... Jamaican rum Cuba Libre. The cola is sweet but, the bitters and lime help. Only one of these then back to vodka tonics or Sauvignon Blanc.

I like scotch and bourbon just fine, but I love beer. My waistline wishes I didn't.

This stuff is bad IMHO. I tried drinking over a cube of ice but had to add some ginger ale to make it drinkable. How in the hell did this get bourbon of the year? The bad thing is that I got this bottle and maybe another one in the cabinet. Next one is going to have some bitters in it.

I agree, it went into my collection of undrinkable brown liquor

Red Oak "1516 Heller Bock". OMFG good. Brewed following the German Rheinheitsgebot- malted barley, hops, yeast, water, NOTHING else. A proper 7% spring bock & as good as any in the Fatherland. Seriously, I lived in Germany for almost 8 years & went native & this stuff is legit indistinguishable from the real deal. If yer a beer nerd or just curious, I heartily recommend this one.

The good and bad.
Waned to go outside before the rain and have a cigar and listen to some music with a drink. When to turn on the Blue Tooth speaker and it did not turn on. 2nd time this happened. So that just left having a couple drinks. Pick of the night is Weller SR (Green Label). That did not let me down. Bottle is empty and a good everyday drinker.

Back at the lake. Started with some Col. Taylor then a poor or 2 of some Evan William's Single Barrel. A little BBQ for supper and after that not sure what's up. But it will be with a cigar.

I an not a bourbon afficianado and I am not the most knowledgeable drinker. But this stuff is much better than I expected for a $12 screw top. It is WAY too easy to drink.
