Finally converted my last usc to a ump clone. Getting rid of the vertical grip for good and still need to mill the vents in but at least its shootable again!

Now should I sbr it and go to an 8" barrel or leave it as a rifle with a 16"?

cut that barrel off, looks wonky
UMP are cool looking guns, like them a lot. But the long-butt barrel just doesnt look right on such a compact weapon

I wanted to do that conversion for a long time, but the more I read from people who have them and shoot them a decent amount, the less I was inclined.

I remember when Buds had the USCs for around $1,000 or $1,100 each in 2011/2012. Then they stopped importing them and I kicked myself for not getting one.

Definitely SBR and chop it. I'd like to shoot one suppressed. I've heard they're gassy AF.

I wasn’t blown away by the one I shot. I was shooting it side by side with a Kriss so I’m sure that didn’t help things.

JRHorne, yes very gassy and not much can be done with it but the bolt is a tank and weighs a ton. Definatly quieter than my other 45 pcc's. If you ever get towards china grove stop by amd shoot it!

Theres wayyy better rifles out there but hey its a HK, thats gotta score cool points or something right?

I'll definitely take you up on it of I ever get that way. I've always loved the look of them and honestly the gas thing has never been too crazy for me. People say the MPX is gassy but I didn't think so at all.

One of the other things that kept me from getting one is I have nothing in .45... Yet.
