I have two cans that don’t have hosts. Im trying to decide on what to use them on but I’m at a loss for fun ideas. I don’t hunt and prefer pistols or sbrs

What say ye?

I tend to only carry 223/762x39/300blk but I’m open to maybe a 308/ar10.

CZ 527 American micro action carbine ... available in .223rem, .300BO or 7.62x39. It comes in a nice lit compact setup ... sub 6 lbs w/ 16.5” barrel. FG&G had them for $619.99 (.300BO) and $659.99 (7.62.39) ... no .223 as of yet. Excellent little carbine that s accurate!

ETA ... it has a true SET trigger that makes it a 15 oz trigger when fired using the set setting.

You could just give em to me, Chris...Ive got two several hosts with no cans

I've no experience with the CZ527, but if the 550 with set trigger & the two 452s I owned were any indication, CZ all the way for .223/.300BLK/x39. The Ruger Scout Rifle with the 16.1" barrel is a lovely rifle if you decide on .308.

That's a nice host! I'd only seen the Howa micro (223) length action.

You don’t have an AR or AK without a can? Or are you looking for something that suppresses really well?

I’m not a fan of bolt guns. I have a Ruger American Ranch which is my one.

All of my ARs have cans. I sadly don’t have any AKs at the moment. I’ve been discussing with @digitalpaladin10 in hopes of changing that.

Do you have a link that I can look at the 300blk? The link above says .223, 6.5 Grendel, and 7.62x39. Although I do see testimonials for 300blk, it looks like it's not offered in that caliber.

Too bad the PSA Jakyl isn’t out yet, that’d be a cool one here.

I also like @JRHorne ’s idea of a short .308.

Well apparently the Noveske Leonidas 12.5" is nearly unobtainium right now. It also looks like Noveske is doing the exact setup as a PISTOL which would be awesome to either leave as a Pistol and carry in your car or Form 1 for the quick turn around time. I don't know anyone else who makes a 12.5" adjustable .308, but building one off a BA barrel, Sentry Gas block would be pretty cost effective assuming you were ok with needing to adjust the gas with a hex key from the front instead of a small tool on top.

I have always liked the idea of a 308. I dont have the caliber in my stable right now. I would like to have something that doesnt need fine tuning when shooting it. The adj gas gave me a fit on a 300blk one time so I try to stay away.

I think .308 has been around long enough that it'd be easy to dial in an adjustable gas block that with the can on it would probably feed 98% of the ammo you wanted to run through it. Plus I bet once the panic shit is over you could find someone to do some nice economical reloads in .308/7.62 that would make it a hoot to shoot and probably reliable enough to bet your life on.

For shits and gigs, I found a N6 Leonidas on GunBroker in Sniper Gray and started the bidding on it yesterday. There are 6+ days left and it's already to $2,625 (I am the high bidder, but won't be for much longer). It wouldn't surprise me if the gun goes for over $4,000.

10 " 300 BO AR Pistol for the win!

I have a few of those. I am looking to capitalize on the cans that have higher rated cans. I’m considering an AR10 right now.
