I wonder what the divorce rate will be as a result of COVID lockdowns...

partners learn of ideological differences...

just get tied of the other persons cr@%...

amplifies political differences... and only gets worse with the prevalence of pol ads and headlines...

This will be a thing if it isn’t already.

One of us HAS to leave the house at least 3 days a week, It's usually me. In the beginning (first week) it was kind of fun, having lunch together, etc. etc. By the 3rd week we stopped that because we couldn't agree on what to have. By the 6th week I would rather starve than to have another lunch with that bit*h. We still have to do dinner and that's becoming a strain.
About the only thing we CAN agree on is getting up at 0400. She takes the dog for a walk while I shower and I just disappear when she showers. She stays in the "office" and I have moved mine to the shop a long time ago, makes me more comfortable to be in the midst of my "stuff". She's talking taking a few days and going somewhere and I'm like, "with YOU"?? That's the last thing I want to do. I am leaving Sunday morning to go fish in VA for 5 or 6 days just to get away.
But other than that, no, I don't see the divorce rate increasing.... I can see accidental drownings going through the roof.....

Don't know, more likely domestic violence.

Did see on news tonight that drug overdoses increased since COVID. And suicides.
CA reported more suicide deaths than COIV deaths.

No divorce possibility here. I bought my wife another gun a few weeks ago.
She likes that I cook breakfast for her some mornings. That was a weekend treat before all this.

Seems like any strain can break up marriages, so this one should be no different than any other... except it's combining all of the usual stressors into one giant mess. Money questions, 'too much time together', no state funded daycare to keep the kids entertained, lots of entertainment/distractions gone... one alone is enough for most.

I'm just happy I kinda like my wife and she kinda likes me. We still do coffee on the porch every morning after farm chores, then she works from one part of the house while I work from another. We chat briefly during the day, then do our usual dinner together and watch TV (or if she's wanting to watch some stupid TV then I wander off and do my own thing). It works.

My wife says, the time with me is her purgatory on earth and I said back at you.

I rather like it having her home. She just made lunch. She bakes when she's bored or stressed out.
My 'office' is the 3rd bedroom in our house and it's complete with workbenches, all my gun stuff, my computer stuff, a TV, and my reloading stuff. Her 'office' is the 4th bedroom in our house. It's been painted pink and red, has girly curtains, a TV and her computer workstation. We stay out of each other's hair most of the day since we are both technically 'working'. No problems to report. The only thing that's been a pain is not wanting to order stuff since she's around to see every package that comes in the front door. I'm trying to build a 20th anniversary gift for her and she's always around so there's not a lot of space to be secretive about it which is kind of ruining the surprise.

I wish it was just my wife and the kids....

Let’s add MY mother to the mix, who’s been living w us for the last three years.

My MIL who only recently moved out back in Feb.

Now we have out of town visitors, including my wife’s USELESS ex-husband, staying w us for the next several days.

I have worked the entire time.My wife was home for 7 weeks with our sons and we were both happy she got that time with them.Saved daycare for 7 weeks too.Very little disruption to my life fortunately.

Can't complain much about my wife. We typically work on opposite ends of the house, but take frequent breaks to chat. Been together 7 years and smooth sailing so far.
