I was hoping to install four muzzle devices next week while I had access to a bench vise. It seems from my reading that everyone recommends Rocksett and it looks like I will not be able to get some in time since it is not something that is available locally to my knowledge. Has anyone used a locally available alternative on a suppressor mount with success? Thanks!

How much you need? This enough? :D

You’re welcome to use some. I’ll never use that much.

That being said, I don’t use anything for my YHM QD mounts. I just tighten them down and have never had an issue.

I was hoping to get away with not using anything, but based on my research, it seems there can be issues with loosening or the whole thing shooting downrange. Thanks for the offer, I will shoot you a PM.

The only time I see anybody launch the “whole thing” downrange it’s just the can because the user didn’t get it locked in place like they should. Happens with a variety of brands.

I don’t know I’ve seen a report of somebody launching the muzzle device downrange.

That is good to know. Still trying to learn all this. I just got two stamps back for Form 1 SBRs, which were my first. I have three suppressors that I am still waiting to "get out of jail". I think that is what you call it? :) I did go to see them today and to pick up one of the muzzle devices and it is very odd to be able to see and touch something you paid for, but cannot take possession of. Not complaining, I am very excited to be a part of this whole new segment of firearms ownership.

Vibra tite works well too from my experience. It's basically lock tite that has resistance to vibrations

In 10 years none of my TBAC's have backed off. If'n I recall, install with peel shims and 40ft/lbs torque.
Interesting TBAC stance:
THUNDER BEAST ARMS CORP. POLICY ON GOVERNMENT SALES

Due to the recent attacks against lawful civilian firearms ownership and use, Thunder Beast Arms Corporation is adopting a policy of equal treatment for government entity sales and commercial sales.

Effective immediately, we will not sell to any state or any of its political subdivisions in which a law-abiding resident could not legally obtain, possess, or use the same firearm, silencer, or accessory due to laws in that state or political subdivision. To put it simply, if you can't have it, they can't have it.

I just used a touch of red Locktight on my Dead Air flash hider/can mounts. Have put six on and still have several more to install.

Yeah red if you never plan to remove it. Blue if you want to change it out down the road without having to heat it with a torch first.

Just a itty bitty bit. Don’t plan on removing them. If somebody wants to after I’m pushing up daisies they can go for it.:p
