What have you recently purchased that is firearms related?

Solid I think I might have enough but you never know.

Enough to make a clock;)Just half that here....

That one a 6oclock is a fine piece.

It is one of my favorites. I bought it along with 4 MKIIIs from Bill Rodgers. He was getting rid of all the BHPs at his shooting school because no one used them. Everyone rented Glocks. LOL I originally made the deal for the 4 MKIIIs which I used as base guns and Bill Rodgers said he hand another old BHP someone had customized with a Bomar sight. He said it had a decent trigger but the finish was a little rough. He threw it in for $400. It looks like this.

I sent it to Fords for a master blue refinish. These days it wears smooth Spegels seen in the pic above. Here are a few better pics. Whoever did the work did a nice job on the trigger. It is super smooth and as light as you can get a BHP to be and still be reliable. I think all told with the grips $850 in it.

That is a pre T with and internal extractor. IIRC it was built in 1963. It is completely stock still. Even the mag disconnect is still intact.
Yep, in the first photos I picked out the internal extractor ... and with the ‘63 serial number puts right at the switch to external. That along with its condition especially the grips ... very nice piece.

Thanks it is the closet thing I have to a safe queen. It only goes to the range once or twice year. It is the only one that still wears factory grips.

Bought 500rd Wolf Gold .223 for $280 from a member on behalf of a friend who is a new gun owner and had nothing.

I didn’t feel right selling him some of mine knowing that I’d be profiting over 100%, plus I have very little desire to sell.

New gun owners are screwed right now when it comes to ammo in common calibers.

Yup. He kept asking me if this was a good deal and I had tell him, “I think it sucks, because I know 3mo ago I could’ve bought this for $270-300/k, you’re paying double. But it’s as good as you’re going to find right now.”

Thankfully, he got the message, “OK, I’ll buy it, but next time ammo is cheap, I’m buying 2-3k of every caliber”. Smart man :)

I am telling newbies to get a few hundred rounds. Don't try to buy in any sort of bulk unless you luck into something at the right price. Now is not the time to try accumulate any quantity. Keep enough so that if you have to protect yourself you can even if it ball ammo. When things get to a semi normal level then buy in bulk.

If you don’t like that one I know someone that makes crappy pizzas that may be willing to trade you out of it at a later date. :D

I'll keep that in mind. LOL

Just got a Heritage 22/22mag 3 3/4 inch bird's head grip from PSA. They gotta quit sending me these notices!! $159..

Just received a notice from PSA that they do not have my Pard's FFL on file. I received TWO items from them last week on the same FFL. I just looked it is perfectly in order. They also say it could take 3 to 5 days to answer my EM. ..They confirmed my order in exactly 2 minutes. Maybe they .....oversold......again...

check it over before using it. mine (a few years ago, not from PSA) had a burr on the ratchet and would lock up once per revolution. I had to spend some very gentle time with a fine file to get it to where it should have been before leaving the factory QC room.
Company never answered my emails either

Two Ruger 10/22 magazine extenders and a tool kit to help reassemble the magazines after taking them apart for cleaning.

My Ruger American uses the same magazines, but they are much harder to remove from that platform. These extenders definitely help.

I got a t-shirt and a double mag holder. For $0. :D

I also got a portable A/C, which isn’t very Firearm related...but I did trade a $100 bill and three boxes of 300BLK subs for it.

I just today took possession of a very nice Colt Series 70 MkIV, of 80's vintage ( like me!), thanks to the generosity of a fellow board member, and I am very pleased!

I cant wait to get a chance to see how it runs!

I was watching a facebook auction on Sunday and this popped up. My dad's 22lr that he grew up with and gave to me was a 581. I jumped on this ad piece. I'm guessing it was to be put on top of a glass case or low cabinet. It is a bit rough around the edges but the center is nice. It is a easel back advertisement for the Rem 581 22 and Nylon 66. Going to make a frame out of some old barn wood and hang it up. That 581 is with iron sights has killed many a squirrel and other stuff. It shoots shorts, longs, and long rifle. Really likes the old yellow jackets. I take it out once in a while just to keep up my iron skills.

PS if anyone has any old wooden shell boxes or other hunting signs ads etc that they may part with let me know.

Five boxes of Hornady Custom 6.5 Grendel 123 grain SST, and a DPMS twenty round AR10 magazine

Didn't buy it today but, brought it home today. I got it from an estate sale in Florida a couple of weeks ago. I went to my buddy's yesterday and picked it up and brought it home today. A 6" S&W Model 28-2 Highway Patrolman .357 Magnum. It came with a set of rubber grips but I was able to hoo doo @Etruett out of a set of target grips. :D
