Found in Cincinnati, Memorial Day weekend. I'm a relative n00b to bourbon, but so far it is my favorite. My daughter got me another one just like it for Father's Day. As a matter of fact, I bought the first one with a gift card she gave me. She good.

Not the best pic now that I see it on here however...my SC score this week. I haven't tried the 3 in the middle before. Finding a 1/2 gallon of Buffalo Trace made my month.

We're at the beach for the week. Us poor white folks still like to drink cheap beer, in quantity, erry once in awhile.

Pitt Co ABC store had two runs of limited run Makers. One called "The MAD Blackbeard" and the other called "The Spirit of the East" 240 bottles of each. Pricey stuff at $75 with tax. I picked up one bottle...

Thinking the Woodford might be a collector’s item since there was no Derby this year. Heard the Harper is getting rare, with limited supplies coming to NC in the future. I guess you know how I justified buying the other two. Cheers friends!

Stopped by a liquor store in Milledgeville and asked if they got any Wellers in. Told them Savannah got some about 10 days ago. The guy looks below the counter an says they have some black label but you are not going to like the price, $169.00. Then he said that they also have some Blantons but it was the same price. Told him thank you but I will pass. That is double what I paid in Savannah.

got a pitcher of 'top shelf' Margaritas at the local Mexican joint (El Vaquero for locals) and they had a shot of Cuervo gold in the bottom over the cups before I poured mine. Pretty nice lil B-day treat for me.

My wife like to have a Margarita every now and then. Tried a bunch of different Tequilas and found this to be as good as it gets for the price.

Really wanted to snag a Weller Single Barrel this past week but luck wasn’t in my favor.

I am a sucker for "Store Pick's" Must have bought 20 store pick's and may be had only 2 bad ones. This is my latest.

Been waiting to try these. The Smoke Wagon guy is very interesting. Seems like my kind of dude. Buying MGP juice and blending in Las Vegas. Can’t wait to try it. Life is short. Alcohol kills the virus! Cheers!

I guess I am set for the weekend. RIGHT
Last time at the lake my son drank about 80% if the Col. Taylor I had up there so I need to replace a bottle, give him a bottle and the last one for around here. The Buffalo Trace is just for the hell of it. At $23 a bottle that can be an everyday drinker. I was told that BT is not going to have any more 1.75 bottles.

I got this as a gift today. I really hope it doesn’t end up tasting like cough syrup

Les, they had 3 boxes ( 6 bottles per case) was on the floor and the top box only had 1 bottle left when I got mine. I bet there is not any left by the end of the day. $40 per bottle.

SCORED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After 2 months looking for Jose Cuervo at Publix, Kroger and maybe 4 or 5 package shops I have found none.
Today while at Wal-Mart looking for some 1 gallon jugs of water I found them. What goes better with Margaritas then boiled peanuts which they had too. Wal-mart is becoming my favorite store.

Yesterday was a good day.

A friend flagged me down on the side of the road when he met me because he had a bottle of Rabbit Hole he had got me for my birthday and hadn't had a chance to come over. Been wanting to try that one.

I had visited my local ABC store on Wednesday to purchase Old Tub so I could try it out. Limited release, Bottled in Bond, supposedly the favorite daily drinker of Booker Noe himself decades ago before it was discontinued. Got two bottles on Wednesday and opened one to try it. Accidentally drank about a third of the bottle and I'm in love. PS: it's only $22.95 and is on the bottom shelf at most locations. For now.

So since it's a limited release (supposedly, we'll see) I went back to my local ABC to make sure I could grab some more before/in case it goes away.

And I did pick up another.

But I like to had a heart attack when I saw Weller 12 sitting on a little cart up front. They had only been open for about 30 minutes and had about 6 or 7 bottles left. It was limit 1 per customer. And supposedly when they first opened up in the morning they had Weller Full Proof, the new Weller Single Barrel, and Weller CYPB in addition to the 12 Year. Hate I missed seeing all that. But I still would have bought the 12 Year.

I'm as happy as I can be! Been chasing the Weller 12 for about a year. Had a chance at one on the secondary market but couldn't stomach $300+.

I despise the govt. control system in NC.

But I must admit, it did make me giggle a little bit to get the #2 bottle on my wish list for retail ($42.95)

Well I finally picked up the other special blend for Pitt Co. Looking at others (other regions/states/cities) I think there needs to be a comparison on the blends.

One of our members here gave me a bottle of Widow Jane, he didn't like it. I thought it was 'OK' but at that price I would not buy it.
I was told by a friend that it was good. I disagree with my friends thoughts.

Ya' know, I am off work the next few weekends. If you guys aren't busy, I could stop by and help taste those.

Yep regular price just NONE is making it to my area. I would imagine it was gone pretty quick with so many folks buying it up for black market sales. It is frustrating for folks who just enjoy the product and happen to live and work in 2 state run ABC systems

Congrats on your good fortune, I haven’t seen Weller in NC or VA for a couple of years or more

Wouldn't nobody get mad if ya did! You'd be following in a long and not always so distinguished list of CFF folks that have stopped by for a little tasting! LOL! Although sometimes it is deep fried Krispy Kremes and cowboy coffee. But even then, once the clock strikes 9am, we usually go ahead and switch over to liquor.

Screwball for the hell of it, tried it on a whim and it’s pretty good

Makers 46 because I always have that around

The Saint from St Augustine Distillery. It’s a small Distillery in Florida, we used to live there and I always pick up a bottle or two when we go back and visit.

How much of a peanut butter taste does the Screwball have? Strong or just a hint.

I would say somewhere in the middle. It’s not a hint because you can taste it for sure but not to strong either. I read where people add grape liquor to it and it tastes like a PB&J sandwich.

Overall it’s just something fun to have a glass of when you just want something a little different.

Basil Hayden or Makers 46 are my go to drinks.
