I did that about 10 years ago. Gave most of it away for Christmas. Might ought to to it again. Problem is if I made it today it wouldn't be ready for a few years.

confirmed just how MUCH i hate oil filters that screw in from the bottom. one of these days i'll find a way to not make a mess with them.
I guess you could try drilling a hole in the bottom of the filter and let it drain before you take it off? But that would probably make a mess too!Tell me when you find a way. I've tried to
loosen/tighten,
wait for the oil to drain,
loosen/tighten,

Argh, a mess.

No point getting oil all over your drill. If you have to, use a sharp punch and hammer.
Or just make the mess, get out the kitty litter, grind it in with a brick, sweep it up. Mess gone.
I just loosen a bit and let it drain and keep doing that until it's all the way off. Although I may try the hole punch thing on my motorcycle. The filter is perpendicular to the ground and runs down the center stand when you loosen it. I can't get a drain pan close because of the center stand. I never thought of punching a hole in it to let drain first.
I do that sometimes too.My first thought is to duct tape some foil just under the filter, use the foil to direct the flow of oil. When you're done, remove and toss. Maybe. Might not be room for that idea either.
best thing for making oil drain where you want it.

Thats a smoking deal for 40 bucks.Bought another chainsaw today, took it apart, cleaned it and got it back together. Runs good. Don't think it was too bad for $40, saw and case.

i'd have bought that set for that priceThats a smoking deal for 40 bucks.
Sounds like a wide body hellcat with some sticky rubber would fit the bill nicely!Apparently, since I can’t sleep... my mind thinks it’s a good idea to look at Dodge hellcats. I’m half convinced to move the vette for a hellcat. Only problem is I enjoy backroads just as much as going fast in a straight line.
Maybe I should look at the 911s...

Yep truth spoken. I mean 1800 horses is very easy on a GTR and boy do they like to hug turnsThe Widebody puts me into another class of car range. You can buy a whole lotta car for 80k+. I’d pick up a 15 Porsche 911 or a 17 GTR.
