So awhile back, I ran across this guy on Etsy of all places who was making what looked like really nice stocks for a variety of rifles. They weren't stupid expensive, so I figured I'd grab one. The stock on my SKS is in pretty good shape, but I always wished it was a little nicer and a hair longer.

This is a really nice improvement to the rifle overall. The rifle now has about a perfect length of pull for me, and overall quality is outstanding. It took only very slight fitting to get the stock to mate to the rifle.

It arrived unfinished, but after about 7-8 coats of Tru-Oil on I've pretty much got the look I wanted.

Is this the same guy who makes thumbhole stocks? I swear another member has bought from him.

I have an SKS-M I picked up from another forum member that has one of the Etsy stocks on it. It is hands down the least accurate rifle I own. One of these days I want to put a standard stock back on it and see if that makes it any better.

@Sigoglin put some rounds down range and see what kind of groups you are getting with that stock.

Didn't get a chance to get to the range this weekend, but I'm about to run up there after work today. The best I even shot with this thing in the original stock with open sights at 100 yards is 3-4" groups. If I can match that I'll be happy.

First is a 3-shot group from a rest at 50yd, second is 5 shots from a rest at 100yd.

Brown Bear ammo, cheap junk.

I could probably tighten up the second group with some more effort, but I can reliably hit 9 or 10 out of 10 on a 10” gong at 100yd from a rest. I drop to about 7-8 on the gong shooting offhand from 100yd.

Overall I’m very happy with it. The rifle is as accurate as it’s always been, and MUCH more comfortable with the longer length of pull.

That's sharp. I love my SKS & that walnut just looks right. Best I've shot mine was 2" at 50yds offhand. Been wanting to fit mine with the TechSight peep sight.

@Sigoglin Glad it worked out for you. I need to dig mine out and take another look at it.
