I’m debating hard about snagging one. I’d like to toss an RMR or SRO on it along with my 30 cal suppressor and use it as a deer rifle/ brush Gun and Subsonic fun gun.

Any feedback would be appreciated

I saw one of those in a previous edition of American Rifleman. While I'm not a lever-gun aficionado, it did pique my interest.

Better'n a Tacticool Mossberg lever...

The ARFCOM bubbas been putting cans on lever guns for a while.

@Slacker ?

30-30 is my least favorite round to load.
It can't decide if it wants to set headspace off the rim or the shoulder and the shoulder is so thin in buckles like chuckles if you look at it sideways.

I would much rather have a suppressed 357 lever. It will kill the crap outta whitetail and the straight wall is much more pleasant to load for. Use 38spl brass with heavy 35rem Boolits for RNSP jacketed subs.

My 9mm can isn’t rated for .357 mag and my .30 cal can isn’t big enough for .357 bullets :D

It would be a low volume venture for me. Might only handload subs and stick to factory hunting loads

I can get 250 pcs of Starline .30-30 at a good discount so I was going to use that hoping it’s up for the challenge

Your suppressor situation is unsat.

.357 subs, yes. .357 Mag, no. It’s a combo of aluminum and stainless.

@bigfelipe its an Innovative Arms 9mm user serviceable model, not one of the earlier sealed ones

A Lex? They're blackout rated. Can't imagine 357 is too much for it. Doubt 30-30 super would hurt it...

A 180gr to 200gr hollow point at 900-1000fps at brush hunting ranges will shellac our little bitty deer. Hell, a buddy took a deer with a 9mm Ruger pistol once.

I think I’d save .30-30 for my actual .30 cal can just in case

I can’t find an actual rating beyond 9mm/full auto and 300BLK subs for it. I’ll shoot them a message and ask

I’ve always liked the 357 lever guns but I’ve got a 1960s JM Marlin 336 30-30 I want to leave pristine (learned to hunt as a kid with it) and use one of the Dark .30-30s in its place. Sort of like a modern throwback

Sounds like you just need to order an MG7K 358. :p
