I moved a trailer from behind my house today, and this mushroom was growing beside the tire. Any ID?
I searched for a pic like it online, but couldn’t find one.

I thought maybe it looked purple after you ate it, but apparently not.

Where oh where is an amateur mynecologist when you need one?

Not a morel. That exhausts my wild mushroom knowledge.

Does it have gills under the cap? My first guess was Marys Russula but the stem is too white.

thanks for the post and the the answer.

with the every-single-day rain we've had,
the variously colored (not racist) 'shrooms
have been blooming (?) around and about.
sometimes they change colors as they grow.
we've been spending some of our internet
time searching for identities.

are there one or two simple sites
which provide picture id's that are
searchable by description?
if so, please post.
