Talk Me Off the Ledge.... Thinking about getting a P365

The 365 is lighter than almost any J frame, except the 5 shot Airweight, with 2+ times the load. Let the pics do the talkin’. So much for a J weight advantage, eh?
I’ll take the 7 rds advantage for 5oz of extra weight.
Paid $448 for my 365 @Lawmans.

So that’s where all the discontinued Uncle Mike’s Combat Grips ended up...

Nice assortment of pocket guns for a "not a gunslinger". Any examples of "gunslinger guns"?

I've tried to like it, but just can't. Its a good gun no doubt...but it doesn't fit me. Fully loaded it is too heavy for dress slacks. Leaning towards letting it go.

This is the way to do business. Man paid his own money tried it..didn't work out. @wvsig , good way to get in, make him an offer. All will be happy.

I have many times over the years told myself no new Sigs but this one keeps calling me. It would replace the LCP as the throw it in the pocket gun and NYC reload duty. Have all the bugs been worked out of the current production guns?

Discuss....

It will drive you crazy until you do it..so ....JUMP!

This is the 2nd one I've bought. I tried really hard...lol.

I probably would like to put it through an IDPA match...that might give me good feedback.

I have to agree with the others its too big for pocket carry,But IWB in a vedder holters it is very easy to carry. I added a hogue slip on grip to make up for the handle issues some have mentioned in other post and it takes the gripping issue
some have mentioned away.Have seen them come up in the B/S/T section at good prices.

What is the consensus for pocket carry?

My main two carry guns are the P365 and the LCPII when I need extra concealment. That said I have had zero issues with my P365 and have put over 2500 rounds through it at this point. Any new P365 you buy now will be a "Gen2" model which essentially means they toughened up the firing pin to avoid the breaking issue the first one had.

I have a 365 and carry IWB with an Alien Gear holster on hip. Too much belly to appendix. With a 10 rnd mag and loose shirt no issues. It’s the most comfortable setup for me. Carry a 12 rnd mag as backup. Small guns required a lot of practice at least for me compared to full size pistols. 365 is a reliable platform.

I ended up getting a p365 SAS. Too bad I ordered too late and ended up with a non-ported model. The ported model had a bit less flip.

Thanks to @BatteryOaksBilly & @RS I'll be buying at least one of these things in the near future.

So if any of ya'll 365 haters want to off load one (non SAS model) let me know. My ole lady wants one something terrible now that shes seen how well they shoot compared to her XDS.

You’re aware that version comes with white dot sights, right? Not suggesting there’s anything wrong with them but the other versions of the P365 do come with more expensive sights.

Ports And Night Sights are worth exactly $000000000.

I beg to differ. I’ve found that night sights make me a much more consistent shooter.

With ‘em, I can miss whatever the hour.

Opinions are opinions. Everyone has one... for my use case night sights aren’t necessary but, for those where this would be their only defensive weapon they could be. Personally, I rather like the FT Bullseye and it is the sole reason I went with the SAS mode. I’ve fired both the ported and non-ported SAS. I found the ported to be more pleasant to shoot and thus much quicker to be back on target. I was scarily accurate at rapid fire with the ported SAS the first time I fired it. The non-ported is going to take some practice and acclimation to achieve the same secondary round accuracy. However, I couldn’t find a ported mode when I purchased.

Come here and show me how NS are useful In The Dark. We have shown dozens of people Just how Useless they are In The Dark. We have thousands of shooters come through here. They all leaving understanding that night sights are to help you find your gun on the night stand.
We would love to have you visit us and take on the Wizard. We had another person defeat the Wizard today!! Number 10 of almost 2,500 tries. It should be easy peasy for a shooter with scary fast shooting ability.
We don't deal in opinions Here. Come and we will show you.

Am I the only one who really doesn't enjoy shooting the P365? I find it really snappy and uncomfortable, but it is accurate and conceals phenomenally.

Bought it to replace my 642 for pocket carry and it's great in that role. I picked up a XL frame and can still pocket carry without issue.

I feel like the odd man out because I just absolutely hate shooting the thing and vastly prefer my Glock 26. But for whatever reason, cannot bring my self to sell the damn thing!

The P365 is a very accurate subcompact pistol, albeit snappy. It is my preferred carry and I’ve carried many different pistols from many different manufacturers.
