Raleigh under curfew Friday 8/28 and Saturday 8/29 due to planned protest

So as to not interfere with the protests? I didn't click the link.

Sounds like a curfew is in order so everyone can safely vote in person in November..........

Think it’s time we arm up and enforce that curfew fellas.

Looks like I’ll be visiting Cameron Village, but I doubt they’ll wander out that far.

For riots I think proper attire is comfortable jeans, t shirt, lightweight hiking shoes, big can of pepper spray and suppressed AR pistol in 300blk, but most of you are more fashionable than me so please feel free to make suggestions.

I'll say what I said in the other thread on this - Id like these folks to name ONE person killed by Raleigh PD without doing a search. First and Last name, not just a generic 'John' or 'Trayvon'
Dont say that BS when you know that's not the reason
They just want a reason

The last protest was about a mile down Peace Street from Cameron Village on the Capital Blvd overpass.

Bingo

She evidently exempts the "protesters" from the curfew since she just wants them to be able to assemble peaceably. How can they assemble if there is a curfew?

I'd like to see a list of names that were killed that DID NOT resist arrest or otherwise act like a fool when the PoPo was trying to arrest them.

I wish all these cases Cooper claims and uses to keep the state shutdown would show up and spread C-19 like all the Dems say it can ...

She says that the police and other agencies tend to queue up at Cameron Village, it has space and is well situated.

This weekend will also see significant activity as NCSU students are being kicked out of housing, hopefully everyone moves during the day.

Just great. My daughter lives within a mile. Other side of Capitol Blvd in the
East Mordechai area.

No businesses to provide reparations so they won't go over there. I hope.

Black hoodie in case you need to blend in. Or a Che shirt.

So Raleigh has a Dem Mayor and NC has a Dem Governor, but people are protesting? Guess that means they just vote differently next time. Or maybe they should just protest at the Mayor’s home and not interfere with any private citizens or businesses that have nothing to do with their cause.

With the DA ruling yesterday the Collins shooting back in January was justified this protest just doubled in volatility. Raleigh won’t burn like Seattle or Portland but it could get real messy real fast ... steer clear if you can.

I have a black hoodie with large "5.56" on the front. Does that count?

Not this one, but I do like it:

As hot as it will be, it will be some committed commies who go stand on that hot pavement tonight. I was in my neighbor’s garage at 9pm last night hanging parts on a scooter and it was awful.

I thought the sweaty olive drab unkempt look was de rigour fashion for our peaceful fraternal socialist friends?

Ya'll jus' ain't with the picture...

When there are People Breaking Laws and doing Gun Violence, we make laws restraining people with guns who Obey the Law.

When there are 30MM people without Healthcare Insurance, we change the Policies of people who already have Healthcare Insurance.

When there is a Pandemic, we mandate a Quarantine for people who are Not Sick.

When there are Riots, we mandate a Curfew for people who are Not Rioting.

Any questions?

Yeah, gotta find a hoodie and a black bandana.
Stop by here in route.

I can even loan you a CMPD hoodie if you’re brave. :D

We are all too fat and happy in the Triangle. Even the worst of us have jobs, booze and ‘cue. Hard to get a good violent riot going here with the locals. They are going to have to divert violent felons from the big cities to get Raleigh burning. And we’re too small to be a priority so we may skate.

Now as for you Charlotte people, you may be just big enough to burn. Good luck.

Is there a web based Raleigh police scanner?

Are any good guys there?

I’m bored as hell and fired up as ever. Wouldn’t mind getting over there with some fellow citizens who respect our infrastructure and the gainful employment of the businesses. Pandemic has done enough damage to this economy. Would like to do my part ensuring no communists make it worse still.

WRAL reports barricades removed and tossed in the streets, fire started in the street and fireworks being used. Justice Center aka new court house vandalized.

Raleigh's Riot in the Street Fest 2020. Wood fuel provided. Incendiaries responsibility of participants. Clean up paid for by taxpayers of the city who are prevented from attending by curfew.

Such powerful words...

I would rather die out here tonight of pepper spray, rubber bullets and sticks than to die on the streets with people thinking I’m a devil,” Jeffrey Stallings, 34, of Raleigh, told the News & Observer as he waved a piece of barricade. “We’re people. We’re brothers and sisters.”

o_O
I read the article thinking that maybe with some context the statement would make sense. I was predictably disappointed.

But were there any Rooftop Koreans? Teenaged or otherwise?
