The push back begins. I mentioned in another thread that the Kennosha Kid incident might be a catalyst for more push back.


The shooting occurred around 8:45 p.m. near the corner of Southwest 3rd Avenue and Alder Street, according to videos posted online.

Portland police secured the entire block as the crime scene. Police said they wouldn’t be releasing suspect information “at this time” and no one was immediately arrested following the shooting.

The shooting happened after tensions gradually escalated throughout Saturday night as the pro-Trump caravan slowly moved through the city. Videos posted online show people in flag-adorned trucks driving through groups of protesters, firing paintball guns at crowds and deploying what appears to be pepper spray.

Earlier in the day, thousandI es of people had gathered for a “Trump cruise rally” at the Clackamas Town Center, from which they drove to Portland where a clash with anti-racist demonstrators seemed certain to await. A post pinned to the Facebook event page, which drew some 2,500 attendees, encouraged concealed carry.

Hordes of trucks flying Trump, Gadsden, American and Thin Blue Line flags had lined the town center parking lot by 4 p.m.

“I know for the most part, everyone here is gonna be pretty civilized. We’re all gonna support the president in safe way,” said Brandon Beck, who was attending his first Trump rally. “Obviously we’re all gonna be in cars, none of us are gonna be burning, looting, or anything. We’re just trying to have fun and stay safe today.”

Witnesses at the garage, including independent journalist Laura Jedeed, described a hushed scene as police officers gathered around the body of a young man lying in the street. An ambulance arrived, then drove away without the man inside.


That was a stark contrast to minutes before, when a fleet of pickup trucks waving Trump banners rolled through downtown, horns blaring, with red-shirted young men leaning out the windows to yell racial slurs and deploy pepper spray on pedestrians who blocked the trucks' path.


Video posted to social media shows two gunshots fired along 3rd Avenue several minutes after the caravan passed through. A photo viewed by WW shows the victim was wearing a hat and T-shirt bearing the emblem of Patriot Prayer, a Vancouver, Wash.-based conservative protest group that has regularly sparred with antifascists in Portland streets for the past three years.

Downtown was the final stop on a day-long car caravan to support the president. It started in the early afternoon at Clackamas Town Center mall and drove into Portland, mostly circling the city on interstate highways.

The death appears to be the first killing to result from Portland's political brawls since a Jeremy Christian murdered two people aboard a crowded MAX train car on May 26, 2017. But any motive remains uncertain.


It was not immediately clear tonight what political loyalties were held by the people who committed tonight's shooting. A suspect is still at large.

One person wearing "blue lives matter" patch, and what is called a "patriot prayer hat and shirt" was shot dead about 20 mins ago. It was a parade. Initial reports are he was black. This is unclear at present No other details at present.

Apparently there was a pro trump “cruise” that went through downtown Portland. Lots of folks throwing stuff at them, and apparently they responded in kind. Not sure if the victim was involved, just reading about what happened in Portland last night.

Well, that was certainly an objective article.

I wonder if the Left will line up to vilify the shooter as being somewhere he shouldn’t have been with a gun he shouldn’t have owned? Will the person shot be remembered simply as a peaceful protester?

Nothing good can come from these needless confrontations (by both sides). It's sad to see regular folks dying over (partially) manufactured crises while the ruling elites they champion are happy to wine and dine each other behind closed doors.

If we look closely, we can generally find "some good" that can come from the insanity. More people see reality for what it is and things for what they are, that chaos can happen even in America, that they should think about protecting themselves and perhaps they should vote better to prevent the election of worthless pantywaists.

The politically ignorant always say: "There's two things you don't discuss in polite society: Politics and Religion". Perhaps they'll stop being mentally lazy and realize they should start being active in the construction of a future for their children.

Some of it will available soon. Lefties are addicted to TicToc and most other "LOOK AT ME" platforms, so find ten Antifa/Burn-Loot-Murder types that were in the vicinity of this execution and half of them will have videoed it and shared it broadly already.
 
I see this being the catalyst of "shoot first". It's already proven that both sides are armed.

An ex-military man who calls himself “100% ANTIFA” and ready for “war” is being investigated over the deadly shooting of a President Trump supporter in Portland, according to a report.


Michael Forest Reinoehl, 48, is being investigated over the death of Aaron Danielson, a “supporter” of the right-wing Patriot Prayer group who was part of a caravan of Trump supporters who flooded the city Saturday, police sources told The Oregonian.


He was identified in part to a distinctive tattoo on his neck of a “black power” fist — as well as a call from his estranged sister who recognized him in video and photos of the deadly attack, the paper said.


The 36-year-old sister — who The Oregonian agreed not to name — was first alerted after a threatening call that woke her at 8 a.m. Sunday warning that “our whole family was in danger unless we turned him over.”


“We reached out to police and confirmed that we recognized Michael in the screenshots” from the shooting, she told the paper.


The father-of-two is estranged from most of his family — including his parents — after stealing from them, the sister said.


“On the one hand, this whole thing surprises the daylights out of us, because we always thought he is a lot of bark, not a lot of bite,” she said. “But he’s also been very impulsive and irrational.”


“Every Revolution needs people that are willing and ready to fight,” he wrote in June, comparing it to his time in the Army.


“I am 100 % ANTIFA all the way! I am willing to fight for my brothers and sisters!” he said, insisting he would not “run” from violence.


“It will be a war and like all wars there will be casualties,” he wrote, calling protesters and ANTIFA “my brothers in arms.”

sure would be a shame if some of the elder folks who have just lost their bloodline took issue with the prosecutors letting so many people off, resulting in said losses of bloodlines.
I'm not a "but muh family name, muh bloodline" kind of guy but I know some people are.

I see a civil lawsuit against the man, and the city. We'll see if the city has the balls to charge murder 1.
 
I may be looking at this different, which is normal for me but I'm a realist. Those folks rode into Portland knowing full well that it is essentially a damn warzone to make a showing for whatever reason.

Number 1, what did they really hope to accomplish? The asshats that live there don't give a hoot about getting arrested for anything, much less capping your ass.

Number 2, if you ride into a snake den you need to be ready to get bit. They thought this was like cruising Stratford Road on the weekends like we used to do. We were looking for womenz, they should have known that they were looking for trouble or they were as dumb as a bunch of rocks.

Number 3, the damn LEO's and local government would rather put you in jail than the bad guys.

Number 4, these guys didn't have a chance in hell and they're lucky a passel more of them aren't pushing daisies. Those punks may not be as smart as we think they are but they're smart enough to have wagged war for over three months and gotten away with it. They could have let the Trumpers all the way in, boxed them in, closed the roads and had their way with them.

Although I support them, going to a gunfight with a flag and pickup truck just don't make sense to me.

Ummm... Because this is America and they can? Because they wanted to make a statement? Because of the same reason we send warships through the contested waters of the South China Sea? Because, they were tired of the BS from the left and the local governments inaction? If I read reports correctly, there where hundreds of vehicles involved in the "parade", so it wasn't like a couple of good old boys decided to cruise the hood. And the shooting occurred some time after the "parade" had passed. Open carry was not recommended, but concealed carry was condoned. If shots had been fired on the caravan, I think we would have seen a very bad outcome for the protestors. While I personally would not have been involved, I don't disapprove of the caravan either.
