I try to keep my Dillon orders few and far between due to the shipping costs. I always find myself thinking "Dang! I would've picked that up too if I'd known" after my order ships.

With that in mind, I'm looking for suggestions for stuff to buy. I currently own two XL650s and picking up the following:

  • Universal decapping die
  • Spare decapping pins
  • XL650 spare parts kit
  • Small pistol primer tubes
Any other suggestions?

How far are you from Mebane. I got a few things from there last time. Or check eBay.

you got upgrades on your press?

I've got the roller handle, case feeder, and some nice lighting, but otherwise stock. Primarily just looking for odds and ends that come in handy, but aren't worth buying individually due to shipping costs.

The shipping cost can bite you sometimes the part is 20 and shipping is 18. That’s why I look on eBay a lot. Must offer free shipping. I just got another 650 and it was missing 2 parts for the conversion kit. Need to get some myself.

Ah, I see what you're saying now. Good point -- I'll have to start looking there too.

I've broken those plastic tips and small springs too . When I call Dillon for my free replacement parts , i usually ask for several so i always have a backup. They have never refused me.

I have a spare detent ball for every press that has one. those things have legs
Ballistic Tools sells a 3 pack of Delrin detent balls for 99¢ - best thing ever for my Dillon presses. The shellplate eases into position so much more smoothly now, no more jerky motion and spilling of powder.

I’d order some of those brass locating pins for your most popular calibers. Mine have a tendency to jump and run when they fall out of my press...

One of my favorite Dillon additions is the set of allen wrenches and the rack that bolts to my press.
