Dragging out my M700 50 cal. after about 20 years of it being in the safe. Need to buy some boolits. Still have a bunch of Buffalo bullets but thinking about using some sabots. What have you folks been using?

Maxi balls and crisco.
I read about crisco causing dieseling when ramming mini balls in a musket and discharging. The author of the article said he had two incidents of it.
People used to blow up all the time back in the day when ramming with fat back.

I do, it is bees wax and virgin olive oil mixed.
