How much .22lr ammo do you have?

I honestly do not know how much I have. I bought another 3200 rounds from Dunham’s about 5 months ago. It was Federal Black 1600 round bulk in 100 round packs. They had two of the 1600 round boxes on sale for $59 each. I bought them both. I thought it was priced wrong, but nope, they were putting it on clearance.

Why is this thread even still alive?

My wife took 1500 rounds, killed about a dozen squirrels and one piece of steel like 1488 times lol. Said she got bored during quarantine
But, like a good girl, she ordered another 2k for us

Damn, that’s it? You are definitely going to need to sell some guns to fund more ammo. I kinda feel bad for you. :p

I actually got really lucky with that little Savage. It really likes the Eley Contact 42 gr subs. Its one of their more inexpensive loadings so I dont have to pay for match grade stuff and still gives minute of squirrel noggin if he holds still for a second lol.

Where did she order the ammo? All mine sank...

I'm just curious what the mean inventory is. I just completed counting and, aside from a few partial box 'strays', I currently am storing 11,350 rounds which, on sober reflection, seems like it's less than it should be. How about you?
11,346.........."Honey, can you please take the trash out?" Dang it! 1, 2, 3, 4..............

Went to the local sports store yesterday. To my surprise they had some ammo on the shelves. Not a lot but more than they have had in a good while. Actually had some 9mm and other handgun ammo. I needed some 22lr . They had maybe 20 365 round federal boxes and 7 or 8 Armscor 500 round boxes. The 500 Armscor was the same price as the 365 Federal. I've never tried the Armscor so I thought I'd give em a try. One box. While I was looking at the 22s a man and his wife walked up and started looking at the ammo. Maybe in their 50s give or take. They both had a shopping cart each. I got my ammo and walked over to look at the guns. I looked back and I could see them putting ammo in the carts. After a few minutes I walked back the ammo and noticed all the 500 round 22 boxes were gone. I didn't pay much attention to the other ammo. There was a long line at the checkout register. The couple was in line one behind the other with the carts. Boxes on boxes of ammo in the carts. I could not see what alll he had in his cart or hear what he paid but when she got to the register I could hear the clerk say her part was over $350. I know he had as much as her so they spent at least $700 for nothing but ammo. In one day. I've never spent $700 for ammo in probably any 5 year span in my life. I'm 73.
People have crazy mad. Pure madness. If what people are planning for come to pass, God Help Us All.

After this last week, 500 less rounds than I had. Sure is cheaper than shooting 5.56 though
Oh yeah? I saw loads of it selling for $.31 to $.40 for target stuff on Ammoseek. If I can get that price I can by me a Shadow 2.

This was vintage 80s Winchester wildcat...not exactly target ammo but it hit all the steel targets

My verbiage was incorrect. For 22LR I should refer to my statement as plinking ammo. Target I guess is the high grade.
