I’m not sure of the correct section for this question but here I go!!!

I have a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 that I’m interested in installing gun mounts. I want to install a pistol mount under the dash and something to hold an ar pistol on top of the transmission hump in front of radio. Any information on where to look to get started would be greatly appreciated. With the world going to hell in a hand basket, one can never be too prepared.

I’ve seen something online about mounting some kind of magnetic contraction but I wasn’t sure how secure this would be if I travel over rough terrain. I don’t want a loaded pistol falling under my feet. Plus I’m trying to mount my ar pistol as well

I wouldn’t trust velcro, tape or even screws into just plastic. You really want the gun to stay put if you get in an accident.

I’ve been thinking about the same thing, but haven’t mounted anything yet.

No idea about the company but the mount looks pretty sweet.

I have seat covers with rifle slings on the back. Not the cheap add on ones but actual seat covers. Mine also has a pistol holster on the drivers seat. I wouldn't call the seat holster very secure, but I use it for longer drives to unholster and keep the gun close.

Covers and Camo seat covers

I'm not sure if there's holsters purpose made for that, but you could probably buy one of the Fobus plastic paddle holsters and set it up to mount below the steering column with self tapping screws, or 3M tape.
Or just insert the paddle into the lower cover just below the steering column. It works on some vehicles.
