edit to add: I'n not a NASCAR fan. Never seen a race. The only reason I even know the name is due to his crying wolf that caught attention in the national news. Nobody like a whiner.

Gosh what a loss for RPMS , I mean he won so many races , championships etc.

He never won a race nor championship, he barley finished a race . I hate it for the body shop guys at RPMS , I guess they will have layoffs when they hire another driver who dont crash do much.. Good don't let the door hit you on the way out. I Hope he doesn't get picked up by another team but Im sure he will because they know more publisty. My wife asked me other night arnt you gonna watch the race . I told her know I've stopped supporting nascar and most professional sports due to their unpatriotic ways.

What Wallace brings to a race team isn't ability, it's advertising dollars so this is a big hit to rpp,
Wallace mirrors Kaepernick, to be mediocre is fine as long liberal advertising dollars are behind you

From what I hear, it was Wallace's decision, not RPM. Some team is seeing a lot of sponsor dollars coming their way.

Rumor I heard and I don't watch NASCAR at all. He is getting a pay raise and going to a competitive team. Supposedly he is stepping into Jimmy Johnson's car when he retires this year.

RPM is a training school, not a first rate racing team. Wallace will make a few believers in the near future when he gets in the Hendricks ride. I dare say he will equal Jr’s record or surpass it before his career is finished.

I thought I heard that he had stock in Richard Petty Racing.

It was reported that he had a share in RPMS and that he was offered a larger share to stay.

It is hard for me to believe that Hendricks will take him with all the great talent he has coming up through the ranks. And Buba isn't as good as most of them. He will land somewhere and I'm sure I will be surprised, where ever it is.

Maybe he wont turn into the jackass that jr is.

Due to personal interaction with jr ,I have less respect for his than I do a thief

I was hoping Erik Jones would land in the 48 car.

F’ him.....shoulda got busted right in the snotlocker after showing his ass like that.

Bubba who? Really. That rope was used as a lame attempt to boost his career and it did not work.

I kinda wonder about Richard Petty Motorsports “financial health”? I’ve heard more than a couple people say Richard Petty really has little to say in the overall operation now and wants to get out but there are some contractual strings still keeping there ... Moffit and Murstein make the business decisions. Their down to basically 1 car (who basically depends a larger team for a big chunk of technical support) ... that has trouble keeping a decent driver in the seat ... and just seems to rely of the number 43 and Petty name. If RP goes I just don’t see the 43 alone keeping a team afloat.

I remember RP’s conservative political views years back (he joked Jesse Helms was more “liberal” than him) and doubt he has really shifted ... even back in 2017 when Booba ran his first couple “try out” races for Petty Motorsports RP was blasting the NFL players for kneeling during the National Anthem ... now he’s “woke”? RP I think is just going thru the motions more as an “employee” and is waiting for the strings to expire so he can move to his ranch in Jackson.

I heard he was going to Chip Gannassi. I don't think it will matter how good of a car he gets in, he still doesn't have "it".

Well, Richard is 83 years old. About all he offers the race team now is his name and whatever financial benefit that may bring.

Booba said last month Ganassi offered him the 42 BUT a spokesman for Ganassi said no offer was made ... who would you believe? Kenseth is doing okay for now but doesn’t really want to be full time again in ‘21 and JGR cut Eric Jones ... both are better choices as drivers. The one thing for Booba though is he brings $$$ in sponsors.

As to Hendrick ... some shop talk is money and sponsorship for 4 teams is thin ... ‘21 might be the last year of 4 teams with the 88 folding and running the 9, 24 & 48. Elliot is pretty solid in the 9 ... Byron in the 24 ... and Bowman taking the 48. Hendrick might not want to even think about a multi-year contract driver for next year in the 48 just in case. I know it would not be remotely likely but Kyle Larson is going to apply for reinstatement but I’d laugh my ass off if he got a 1 year seat from Hendrick and Booba got left out ...

Kyle Larson has been very impressive in the World of Outlaws Sprint Cars.

So Gannassi is going to get Wallace and Johnson?
Johnson is going to Gannassi to race Indy cars, not Nascar. Report is Bubba is going to take the 42 car driven by Matt Kensith right now after Lyle Larson got fired. Kensith has announced he is not coming back. Clear as mud???

I know about Johnsono and Indycar. He won't be driving ovals which is a good call by him. But I'll bet money he is in a Gannassi car for something like the Daytona 500 and Talladega. Maybe a road course if he is doing good in Indycar.

He already has a handful of Daytona 24 under his belt.
