“Undecided”?

what’s left to decide?
Whether or not you are going to tell a pollster/PAC flunky who you are voting for? Apparently a lot of folks won't say one way or another out of fear.
I would bet a lot of "undecided" are either not voting or voting for Trump and aren't going to tell.

I get how people don't like Trump for a variety of reasons, but I can not begin to fathom how anyone thinks Biden is viable for anything other than hospice care.

Charybdis and Scylla

"I can't think of an example of more opposite or polarizing candidates."

And there's the problem. Most people are in the middle.

Unfortunately, not voting could be functionally the same as voting for Harden. :(

If you are so weak minded as to not have an answer by now, just don’t vote.
My wife has a few clients that tell her they have not decided who they will vote for.
Really?
And they are not intimidated by peer pressure or pollsters. They tell her everything.

How is this humanly possible?

Reactions: Me.
There are people who claim to be ‘undecided’ in the upcoming presidential race.

I can think of an example of more opposite or polarizing candidates. Well.... maybe the last election...... but still, how can someone be “undecided”? What will it take to sway them? These dudes are an open book, with plenty of ways to tell them apart.

Aside from The Almighty showing up as a write-in vote third-party candidate.... what’s left to decide?
This is typical poll rubbish. All polls are nowadays are propaganda tools designed to 1) make you think that getting with the flow means voting leftist and 2) attempting to inflate the importance of the media in elections (they do almost all the polling).

If last prez election taught us anything it is that 90%+ of polls are worthless as far as being accurate descriptors/predictors.

"Undecided" are like beautiful vain women who have no desire to actually commit to a man, but crave the attention and spotlight of being pursued.

On the slim, off chance that a pollster, or any organization for that mater, like the NRA, actually gets through to me on my phone, I can promise you I don’t discuss my politics with a stranger who has reached out to me with the sole intent of discussing my politics.

I imagine there are many others who feel the same way, especially in the current climate.

It doesn't get me shite for attention.
I'm undecided. I wrote in Cruz last time because he's a Constitutionalist, and makes decisions upon principle. Trump didn't earn my vote, he's anti-Constitution bragging about using eminent domain to take peoples homes for his profit/hotels. Then he lied repeatedly about Cruz and his father supporting USSR (thats when he lost me). Then add hiring the traitor Barr as AG, the man that supports State murder of citizens (Ruby Ridge, Waco). Then making illegal law denying citizens of their own property, bump stocks (like eminent domain). Trump lacks character and is only motivated by his wallet and ego.
That being said, Trump has made many decisions that have left me pleasantly surprised.
Biden's a puppet of Marxist tyranny.
In the last month's chaos, I've been thinking I might vote for trump, instead of a write in, or leaving a blank.

While I think “undecided” is largely “I’m not telling you, myob, go F off, etc”, I can see how people might be truly undecided. There are plenty of people who don’t have strong feelings on major issues, aren’t in touch with politics, and don’t like either candidate so they need that one minor thing to sway them off the knife’s edge to one side or the other.

We are having a cookout.
The choices are, you get a hamburger or a hotdog.
I want chicken.
No, you get a hamburger or a hotdog.
I said I want chicken.
Well, I'm sorry but chicken is not available.
All I want is chicken.
Then go sit at the table and watch the others eat cause you aint gettin' chicken.

My wife would never admit it to anyone but she is voting for Trump. I think there are a lot of people who are fed up with the BLM and cop bashing who will do the same.

I’m not undecided nor am I telling just any random idiot who asks how I am voting ... I just tell them since I’m a convicted murderer on parole I lost my voting rights ... the look I get is almost as priceless as how quickly they disappear. It also works well when some liberal approaches and looking to “register you to vote”.

Or you write chicken on your meal request, then wait four years to see if the Repub-icans offer an actual Classical Liberal.
Fasting has positive side effects.

Add to that the choice of mustard or mayo and you have the current election cycle. Without Trump’s stance/claim on gun control most on this forum would be looking the other way.

And what about vegans who demand eco-friendly non-meat “green meals” and get their panties in a knot then protest trying to flip over the grill because “their rights are not being met”? Let them deal with it for 4 more years ... like we had to deal with Odumba and other Dummicrat crap ...

I don't know if this is true. I think most of this forum (based on my short time here) would still back the anything but socialism candidate. The people here are pulling the cart uphill and we're keenly aware of it (and how fat the people in the cart are.)

When some stranger or known leftist tries to pull me into a political conversation, I usually say some version of this...

"I don't vote, because the mob rule of democracy is what got us into this mess. Its not only created all the issues in the US, its created most of the issues affecting the world since the 20th century. Man was never intended to govern himself. The ONLY valid form of government is a hereditary/feudal monarchy. Kings and Emperors are chosen by god, and given the right to rule by god and god alone."

They usually just back off and don't try to engage again. I don't talk politics with pollsters or strangers.

Funny thing is Trump says he will never mess with Social Security, an act of socialism, yet runs an ad against Biden showing him as an enemy of the same Act. I dare say there as many Trump supporters on the government’s present social aid programs as the other side. Our country is sinking from the abuses of both sides. The present ‘socialism’ banter comes from the health insurance companies that live in fear of their parasitic demise.

We fought a war against a hereditary monarchy. Not interested in another one.
We ought to not only have term limits on the presidency, but senate and reps as well.

To attempt an honest answer, there are people who look at both Biden and Trump and see two senior citizens with no firm grasp on reality and then it comes down to which issues are important enough to sway a vote one way or the other.
Show me a better candidate than the Trump's and I'll vote for them! But seriously.... regardless of the last name...do you want some kind of normal...or do you wanna dive head first off that extreme communist/socialist LEFT??

This 'Merica!

If there's anyone left who claims they are "undecided" I would call them a liar. One way or the other, how can you possibly be undecided?

I am the same way. We did not mail in census info, so they sent an old man to the door. My wife gave minimal info and refused to answer most questions. With the data trail on individuals, the .gov can get than info with a click of a mouse.

@OldNascar , I get why you think SS is an act of socialism, but it really isn't (and note that I am not a fan; I do not like the Ponzi scheme, not at all). I totally agree, there are as many supporters on one side as there is the other.

I had a pollster ask me who I voted for when I exited the polls one time. I told her none of her damn business. She didn't like that but I didn't care.

Trump has made many decisions that have left me pleasantly surprised.

I think he has suprised most all of us. I don’t think anyone would have predicted he would pursue laws, policies, and executive orders that are as conservative as he has.

Are you aware that many people don’t do their Christmas shopping until Christmas Eve?
How politically unaware do you think most Americans are? Hint: how many people think straight majority vote should be used?
There are people who truly expect to decide based on who they read has won debates.

Bottom line for me is I am not undecided but unrepresented. Neither one of the parties comes close to my values yet again I have to pick the lesser of the two evils. Sure get out and back a candidate of my choice in the primary’s. So far that has me batting zero in the years I have been old enough to vote. Today, after years and years of voting I find my ballot worthless, yes absolutely worthless yet both parties somehow manage to get an near equal number of those stupid enough to believe their way is the better to rally another sham come November.
