Hey all. I've checked the big box stores for siding replacement and I'm having some trouble finding an exact match for my hardboard beaded lap siding. I've found the smooth hardie board but the bead is different. If I can't find hardboard, I'll likely go with this and cut my losses.

Does anyone know of a store that sells this sort of thing in the Charlotte/Hickory area?

Check with a building supply company. You may have to try a few to find someone with that cut. Matthews Builder Supply is close to me

Have you neighbor launch a big rock through your siding from his mower.

Let the insurance adjuster source not only the matching siding, but a proper color-match that goes with any weather-fading that has occurred.

But if you’re not interested in insurance fraud.... can you contact the builder of the house? Are their other houses in your area built by the same builder? Are you doing repairs, or an addition?

I'll keep the fraud thing on the back burner. Always trying new things!

Repairs to maybe 50 board ft of siding on a house built in '93 so the builder is long gone.

Edit - all homes in my hood have the same siding and I've already started asking around. No answers yet.

The Moulding Source in Mooresville can match that profile for you.

A guy down the road from me had a tree break and rip a wall off of the finished room over the garage. I should have asked for that before the dumpster got there!
