not your average NC reptile at the lake

Spotted by my son while fishing at Lake Wheeler.

Bearded dragon? His head is down so hard to see.

Somebody’s pet got loose or tooooo big ...

Did he give a Appx length?

Sure looks like a bearded dragon. But looks like it's head is turned to the left back towards its body making it hard to see.

How big is that?

That’s what I told him. I think it’s maybe 18 inches or so.

It is a bearded dragon. I had one many years ago as a pet. Probably won't survive the winter.

Agreed, that poor thing probably won’t live through the winter. My friends daughter has one and it’s like a dog that likes affection and rubbed on its head it’s crazy how smart they are.

already looks a little thin...what side of the lake? i might try to go catch him before he dies as it cools down

My son isn’t here right now, and he has this honey hole he likes to fish and I couldn’t tell you where it is.
