What is this please?

Looks like tongs to me. But look at this:

Some would say those are lamps. Some would say those are the shuttles of a loom. Could be either, depending on what you use it for. I think your whigadigit is the same. What do you want it to be?

They are a set of tongs.
They were made by a student in a high school woodworking class long ago.
Not knowing what to do with them, but being proud of his son, dad hung them on the wall in the shop.

Either that or he bought a set and only used the smallest one to grab the edge of the fresh waffle cones. Threw the rest away in disgust and they hit a peg.

Why, those are some of them thar shuttlelamps! :D

(They look a BIT familiar. My maternal grandparents both worked at Burlington in Batesburg, SC.)
