Made some cartridge making tools

Spent some time out in the shop making and fine tuning my dowel, to make 54 caliber paper cartridges for the Sharps. The block with the hole is to form the tissue paper back of the cartridges. These are made with 60 grains of 3f black powder.

Nice work! Why the line around the dowel? Seems a bit high to be a measurement line. (Or is that a tactical take-down dowel? )

I found a fancy peg at lowes to use as a handle. That is where it is glued together. If I had a lathe it would be nice to be all one piece.

Soon's me house sells, and we get situated... I want to make me own paper cartridges!
