How to post pictures

Whether it be to help sell an item, or just help tell your story. Pictures are easy to post.

First start by getting an account at one of the photo hosting sites. I use Photobucket (it's free) Just sign up for an account and log in.

Next, after logging in to your account, you will see an Upload button (currently it is blue)

Click on the Upload button and that will bring you to this page:

Just select the picture or pictures (from your computer) that you are wanting to upload.

When they are done uploading - Your picture is now ready to use.

Click on the "Library" button on the left:

Under your picture you will see a box called "IMG" at the bottom of the 4 options. Click that box to copy the code, and you will now have what's needed to post you picture.

Now we can create the picture in the post.

Just paste (right click & select paste -or- use Ctrl-v) the copied code will show up in your post and the picture will show up when you submit your post.

Funny enough, all but that cartridge case show as broken images for me.

I do it a little different. Using the IMG link like the method above leave you with a pic that you click and it takes you to PB. I prefer to just post the pic. To do that, use the Direct link instead and post it between the {IMG}{/IMG} tags (but brackets instead of braces). You can either type them in, or use the add an image icon.

Nicely done tutorial. No excess, and informative. Just as it should be. Thanks!
The pic hosting on this server and version of VB kind of blows. This is about the best alternative I could think of for now.

If you guys are using imgur - you are looking for the link that says "BBCode" or "Linked BBCode".

I use IMGUR also

I recently moved from Photobucket because all of the ridiculous ads and re-directs Photobucket has been plagued with

Photobucket is a complete disaster. I can't even log on long enough to delete my file. Need to check out IMGUR I guess...

Also check postimage.org. It's what I use if I'm posting something and not planning on accessing it later. No account required.

You can set one up and have access to your pics afterwards if you choose.

(I've found PB to work very well on iPhone app, which is about the only way I use it)

Fixed the pics in the OP that didn't work after the XF conversion.

Yeah what's he deal with all of the "upgrade your account" nonsense I see? All of my pics, even from 5yr ago, still appear to be showing.
Mine are all gone. Held ransom for $399/yr.

Yup. I finished downloading all of mine yesterday. Looking for a new home for them now.
