Black Bear Attack

Guys a dumbass. He'll get killed one day (by a bear) and wonder why. That's why Canada made it legal to carry a sidearm during bow season for bear.
 
Legal, schemgal. I ain't going nowhere without a gun and that is especially true in bear country.

Only way anyone will know I had it is if I need it and then I really don't care if you know. I have to be alive for you to charge me.
 
What I wanna know is...WTF is he hunting with what looks to be wooden target arrows?

Am I imagining things? I don't see any hint of anything other than maybe blunt target tip. No broadhead.

Anybody else here see something I don't?

That's why you always take a BIL, crazy cousin, etc that you run faster than when heading into bear country.
 
He did everything imaginable wrong. Especially being downwind of the bear. If he wasn't hunting the bear, and it didn't seem like he was, then he should have tried to make his presence known while the bear was a good distance off. Not hunker down and surprise the bear. What did he think was going to happen? Utter morons.

Looked like a field point to me.......what the heck was this guy doing?
 
And two dead in Alaska this past week...from BLACK BEARS no less, with the one that killed the teenaged runner estimated at only 250lbs. The largest Black Bears in the world are right here in NC...have seen some brutes in Hyde county pocosin over the years of hunting there...the term "loaded for bear" is no joke and the only way to move through bear country (which is most of NC).

I got 3 I could take! And if the bear didn't get them, there might be a tragic hunting accident!!!

You could take me.....but if the bear only weighs 250lbs.....I might be skinning him out when you come back to look for me.
