Hayden was diagnosed with Lymes and meningitis this afternoon. His mom brought him in with 105 temp. He got bitten by a tick last week. They have the temp down now, but he's in for a stay at the hospital. He's 3 and just isn't having this hospital thing. He was looking forward to a weekend in the mountains with Cindy and I. I was looking forward to it too! If you can, please say a quick prayer for him, and while you're at it, throw in one for me. I won't sleep tonight!

Thoughts and prayers for Hayden and for all of you, Chuck. You'll get him up to that cabin soon!

Praying for Hayden, Cindy and you as well as the doctors and hospital staff.

Too easily done. I am sure that lil feller'll be jus fine in a lil while. :)

It's good that they were willing to diagnose it as Lyme. It wasn't long ago they would have been prohibited from doing so (in humans). The good thing is that caught early it is treatable with antibiotics. Left untreated it can be debilitating, as a co worker learned from his daughters experience (she got bit by a tick but they insisted there was no Lyme in NC and declared it lupus or juvenile ms, now in her early 20s she's on disability).

Well wishes for your little buddy.

Prayers this morning to the little one and to the ones that are taking care of him.

Prayers sent!

Chuck, they can knock this Lymes out since it's been caught quick like this. Both my kids had it. The meningitis I don't know much about but a prayer is up for Hayden.

Prayers his way for a quick recovery.

Thanks guys! I'm going down the mountain this morning to see the little monkey and take him a toy Jeep. He loves the Jeep. Actually, he loves the older TJs. When he spots a new 4 door one, he looks at me and say Mall Jeep! I love this kid!

LOL. I pointed out an old YJ to my grandson once. He said "No, papaw. Real Jeeps have round headlights. And a tire on the back." Wonder where he'd'a heard that?!?

I've got a really good friend who has a JK 4 door all jacked up and bright red, big tires and wheels. I thought he'd drop his teeth when Hayden called it a Mall Jeep! In all fairness, he has a 1974 CJ 5 that his wife bought for him too.

Thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery for little Hayden.

Absolutely... May he heal quickly. As others have said, the early diagnosis is a blessing in itself.

Done, brother!!
Jesus said "ask anything in My name, and it will be done".
Isaiah 53:5 by His stripes we are HEALED!!
He IS Jehova Rapha...the great healer!!

Hayden and your family or in my prayers. He is a handsome little fellow and looks like a real tough trooper.

Buddy, you got it. Let me know if I can do anything. I have almost died from a tick bite twice (RMSF). Once barely older than him and then again at 30y/o. I am serious, I am just ride up the mountain in Jefferson. If there is anything you need, just shout.

Chuck I'm so sorry I've not seen this earlier. I'll plead the blood of Jesus on his behalf now, and pray believing, that he will be healed of this affliction. It is a painful thing, I pray Christ comfort him and your family.
