Star Wars last Jedi what day are you going?

Saturday at 1. Tried to get tickets for Thur and Fri but the servers were so slow that by the time I got to choose seats only the sides were left. So I bumped to Sat and will have to avoid the spoilers for a few days.

If there is yet another death star or anything as ridiculous as Ja-jar Binks, I am done with Wars forever

We're going Christmas day. It's been part of my daughter's Christmas gift the past two years so we'll continue this new tradition again this year.

Friday the 22nd. Son’s birthday is the 21st but he still has school that day.

Sometime next week is my plan. I try to let the bigger crowds get through. I don't really like confined space with the general public all that much. :D

Think I'll sit this one out, just like the last one. I saw the first 3 movies in the theaters, but the 2nd batch of 3 left me scratching my head & I regret having spent money to see "The Force Awakens".

IMAX Double Feature on Thursday. Force Awakens at 3p & Last Jedi at 6p.

Then a regular showing of Last Jedi on Saturday morning, to see what we missed the first time. :D

Can't wait. Oh, I am kinda ambivalent about seeing the movie at the theater (I just assume watch it on DVD), but I love seeing my kids' excitement, just like I was when Star Wars came out in 1977.

We are seeing it Friday the 22nd.

Saw the first 3 back in the 70's/80's. Went to see the Jar-Jar one and that was the last one for me.

I very seldom go to movie theaters anymore. I'd just as soon watch it in the comfort of my home and avoid the crowds and inflated prices.

What he said unless my wife says she is going without me and only then maybe. It's sad that I have a 65" Panny Plasma display, a killer Marantz surround sound system with Aerial speakers and two La-z-boy power recliners and my wife's 5 minute attention span dictates that I spend $25 on tickets and gas to take her to a movie theater where she cannot easily leave the room and get lost on the internet via her iPad.

Snacks are packed in their "camouflage" container. 27rds of .45 are concealed. Now we wait...and pick my wife up a sub from Jersey Mike's on the way.

Didn't know we were related because your wife and mine must be sisters. Watching a 2 hour movie at home with my wife and daughter takes 4 hours. Usually good for the first 30-45 minutes till the first bathroom break then it's anarchy. One leaves the room and while I'm trying to coax her back after going to the bathroom, getting a snack, checking her phone, etc. the other one wanders off. I go to retrieve that one and the first one spots something shiny and is gone again. Like herding cats.

First one down. Snacks reloaded. Ready for the new one. Supposed to have some bonus footage of some kind for those of at the Double Feature and those at the Fan Event (which is just the new movie at 6p, plus whatever bonus stuff).

What? I don't remember the First Order rolling over the Republic at the end of the last one.

At home, after the 40th Anniversary DVD set has been out long enough to be deeply discounted.

I thought it was great, which is not what I expected walking in.

Go see it.

Alright my inlaws are going with us. MIL will talk through the entire thing so I'm glad she is in a different part of the theater, LOL.

About to head out to our second viewing. Maybe this time I'll spot Prince William and Prince Harry.

Watched it last night on Kodi, 8 out of ten, liked it better than I thought I would

One of my favorite parts was actually diring the previews.

That little lego man recap of The Force Awakens was pretty dang cool :)

We got to watch some bonus footage on opening night. It was a special on John Williams through the years and how he composes the score. Was really interesting.

Turns out he never reads the script. He says when you do that, you start to picture in your mind what it looks like...and he doesn't want to get it wrong. So, he waits for it to be done and watches it before composing. And he still does it with pencil and paper. Lots of footage from him working on all the movies.
