I had a 79 Corolla, it didn't survive being rolled 3 times. At least I did.
Must not have broken it in properly - they need a couple hundred thousand miles to warm up to the abuse.
Glad your still around but i have to ask how in the hell did you get up enough speed to roll it.
That was a running joke for a long time between some of buddies and me. You see I pulled the motor from that white one put in another that I eventually sold to my buddy who sold to somebody who flipped it.
If you bought from a guy named tony im gonna crack up - that would be the third that motor had been rolled.

My grandpa bought 2 of them and had my uncles make one functional car out of them for my Christmas when I was 16. Roughly 1989 I believe. At 10 years old it was probably well over 100K but since it was 2 cars put together who knows.
I managed to not be paying attention going into a curve. Not all that fast really. The rear end kicked out and I started to slide into the curve. It's funny how fast your mind works when you think you are going to die. I actually thought that if I turned the wheels the other way I could bring the car around and just skid out.
Bad idea.
It doesn't work.
I shot straight off the road, onto the grass, and ran up a slight embankment. I heard the roof hit the ground clearly 3 times. On the third time I just slid down the side of the road spinning on my top. The only injury I had was a gash on the back of my head. Either from a loose 6x9 speaker in a box or when I unhooked the seatbelt and crashed down to the roof. I had to roll the window up to get out of the car. lol Took a while to talk the trooper into not calling an ambulance while I held a bloody towel to my head.

Looks like the Ravenel Bridge. I remember when they built that as I was stationed in Charleston, SC at that time.
